ok i am a lady that wants to buy a nfl jersey. i want the jerseys that are for men. i am 6 foot tall and skinny, and i dont know what size to get in the mens! so what size do you recomend?

If you seriously want to go with a mens size, I would go small or medium, depending on what style (replica or authentic). If the only reason you want a mens jersey is because you dont like the way the womens jerseys are cut or styled then I would suggest getting a youth size. Same cut and style as mens but fit women much better. Women always go for the youth sizes because they fit much better.
If you are dead set on going with a mens jersey:
Replica - small or medium
Authentic - 46, 48, or maybe even 50
It all depends though!

well it depends, i always get the onfield jerseys the players wear. i dont like the replicas or the twills, they are cheap. So if you get an on field there sizes are diff. 48 50 52 54 56 58 I always get a 50 but you being a female you prolly want a 48 they are ment to have shoulder pads under them so they run a little big

If you are quite thin, I would get a youth XL. They are equal to a women's M or so. It will be cheaper and will not be down to your knees :O)
