A nice poem that tells them how important they have been in your life and how proud you are to have them as parents. Include the fact that 40 years of love is more then some people get through a whole lifetime. If possible and you can think of some personal antidotes that they have shared try and include these also. Then go and get it framed and present it to them. This thoughtful and personal gift will mean more to them then if you had spent a million bucks on them.

Look in2 Ur heart and find the words. No1 can speak 4 u. These r Ur parents and u know how u think and feel 4 them.
Don't let some1 else explain 2 Ur parents ur love, respect, and support.

one after the other each and consistent with annum flew by, for the reason which you the two mentioned "I do"... 40 years of thoughts, shared by the two one in each and every of you. From great activities and holidays to elementary each day pleasures, some tearful cases alongside life's way, some joys that would no longer be measured... one after the other each and consistent with annum now long previous, yet nevertheless they are yours continually... each and each memory, of 40 years at the same time!

i would go back to the first things you remember about them...Also go thru the years, how much they have made you the person you are now, There help for other people, if all these things apply to your parents.........Good Luck
