"Dry lightning" is just lightning produced by a storm that doesn't make any rainfall in that region.

"Heat lightning" is a lightning bolt that goes from one part of a cloud to the other, rather than from the cloud to the ground. The cloud tends to muffle the sound. It is not caused by heat, but rather by the same electric charge imbalance that causes all other lightning.

Dry lightning- Lightning from a cloud with which there is no rain due to any precipitation evaporating before hitting the ground or no precipitation at all. This happens in low moisture and hot environments. This is a common natural cause of wildfires.

Heat lightning- Lightning that can be seen, but not heard, due to distance.

Dry lightning is basically lightning that strikes outside of a storm. Some lightning strikes inside the clouds (where when you look at the sky you can see clouds lighting up), and some lightning strikes the ground.

The lightning that strikes the ground can strike in millions of directions. Dry lightning is lightning that comes out from the cloud but strikes at an angle that makes it strike outside of the storm.

Actually there is no such thing. The meteorologist have proven "heat lightning" is just a thunderstorm too far away to hear the thunder.
