How many of us understand we are now the world's pariah...? not Iran, not Iraq, not Afghanistan, not China, not Russia but US....

All because of a few treasonous, treacherous, fascists who prefer money over country.

interesting viewpoint Trout but sadly youre wrong. The country with the biggest stick is NOT obliged to beat up every other country just because theyve got the biggest stick...thats bullshit for a start. The Romans thought they were destined to bring light and salvation to the world, thought their armies had the biggest sticks, thought they could rule with impunity forever.....and look what happened to those clowns.

You misunderstand the concept of morality

Maorality is an argument of

Who gets to do what to to whom when and how

The US has the bigger stick and therefore anything they do is "right"

Yes the US is wrong everwhere outside the US but it is an opinion poll that others are not allowed to vote in therefore the only concept of imoral acts comes from the dissent within

They are trying to deal with that as we speak

Well why did we supposedly lose it?, because we're, for some unfathomable reason supposed to be the only country in the world who is only supposed to do what everybody else wants us to do and if we don't they get pi-s'd off. So all we're supposed to do is what everybody else wants and nothing else, and allow all the jealousies and oneupsmanship and 'gee I can feel good about myself because I can tell the great USA what to do, and the " I can only elevate myself by destroying others, particularly the US " groups, to call the shots and all we're supposed to just stand by and say oh!! OK!!! and do nothing we need to do to protect ourselves or
whatever. To this I say again " go take a flying leap ".

It will take a very long time. The next president will have a lot of work to do. I think it will take years, a decade, or more to make us an admired country once again. I don't think we are as bad as some of the countries you mentioned, but I am sure people from other countries have a very bad image of us.

I think Sudan is much more of a pariah than the US. I do agree with you that the United States leadership has much room for improvement--especially when it comes to governing well. . . in addition to foreign relations, domestic relations, overall policy making etc. erc,

NO!

Don´t forget that another country which is the largest democracy in the world is emerging: India.

It is a country with values and where most people have a peaceful attitude and are willing if they are given the chance to improve the world.

Are you serious? Are you one of the blame America first crowd? Worse than Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran? Not by a long shot.

It's a shame so many of you liberals think that way. Why do you hate America so much?

For some, never.

But like beauty, "moral authority and dignity" are frequently in the eye of the beholder.

The people with a low opinion of the US are generally people of whom I have a low opinion. A VERY low one.

In other words, I take it from where it comes.
