I want to buy a printer that says it requires a Pentium II or compatible processor, 300Mhz. My laptop has an AMD Turion 64 X2 processor. Are these processors compatible so the printer will work on the laptop??

Yes. The Intel line of 32 bit processors is compatible with the Turion. Even though your processor is a 64 bit one it has 32 bit emulation loaded in it. In short if you have Windows you can run anything that requires a Pentium processor. Good luck and happy printing.

You've got no worries.

Your processor is essentially overkill for those requirements.

Your processor is probably better than 15 or 20 300mhz pentium 2 processors.

Yes it will, AMD makes intel model chips, they just make them a little differently, and, in my opinion, more effictient.
