I'm not taking sides in this question- I want an open debate with lots of intelligent contributions. When you explain why you think he is or isn't, please be detailed and, if you can/if it's applicable, cite resources/documents/etc. Also, please leave out uncessary and irrelevant comments, such as "Bush is a fag" and "Hillary is a feminazi!!" -even if you believe with all your heart that they're true. Thank you, I appreciate your well articulated and intelligent contributions.

I feel he has been a poor President militarily by getting us into a war with no cohesive plan going in, no effort to secure much of the weaponry or capital that was used againat our troops in the beginning of the Iraq war. The war in Iraq distracted us from putting down Osama Bin Laden, and Al qaeda, which have taken the last five years to rebuild.
On the domestic front, he allow FEMA to become feeble which was made painfully clear during Katrina. How can a country trying to fight a war be unable to get drinking water to a major American city for over three days? The nepotism of bringing a friend and former horse judge with no disaster experience in to run the main organization that handles disasters in upsetting at best.
He has been blinded by his religeous fervor to allow for reasonable scientific research. There is no reason why we should not federally fund stem cell research especially since the eggs used for it are former in-vitro fertilization aggs that are being discarded

A "poor" President?
I feel he is judged and put down because he has not done what the American People wanted, not that any President has asked for our opinions.
But because everyone has their own ideas, and he is not following them, now makes him a poor/bad President, to some.
I choose not to take sides, sure things could have been done differently, but then I am not sitting in the White House either.

It takes a person that is concerned about the interest of the people, and is able to make intelligent decisions, unfortunately Bush is not able to do this. Bush is mainly a self centered jerk with his own agenda coming first and has no concern for what his actions may cost others.

it particularly is often complicated to evaluate any president till they are out of place of work. previously then, one bases an opinion on whether one has an analogous opinion or disagrees with a president's movements. Did any president "intend" to start up a conflict? maximum in all probability no longer, consequently it would be complicated to verify whether this one achieved "precisely what he meant to do". As for thinking whether he has completed a damaging job as president, that should count number on one's expectancies. There are people who discover fault with whomever is interior the White dwelling house.

Bush isn't as bad as the media suggests, but he is no Ronald Reagan.
1. The economy is running strong with 3% annual growth, which is good for developed countries.
2. There HAS NOT been a terrorist attack on this nation since 9/11. This is evidence that Bush is doing an adequate job.
3. His caring heart turned Iraq into a democracy and he will probably go into the history books as the liberator of the middle east.

Your bias is showing - perhaps you should have rephrased the question.
George Bush is probably only one of a very few politicians on Capital Hill that has remained resolute in the commitment to defeat the terrorists. He made his intentions crystal clear at the start - with the support and blessing of the vast majority - and then the reality set in and the war got nasty and people flipped-flopped and jumped ship. Despite all of the political pressures, criticism and rhetoric he has had to withstand, he remains resolute. He is doing what he feels is best for the security and safety of our nation with total disregard for any personal political gain.
And that's a very rare trait in a politician. Very rare indeed.

He is a poor president starting with the fact he had to appointed- not elected- to his position. We should've had a recount, being we have the technology to do that now.
He also lied about the 'weapons of mass destruction' to get us into this war in Iraq. (We have yet to find anything on this matter). That alone should get him impeached.

Bush created Iraq that is a precarious nightmare that will go on for decades. It's done zero to counter al-qaeda, prevented us from focusing on bin Laden and destabilized Afghanistan when al-qaeda was on the run. Instead al-qaeda is resurrected solely because of Iraq. It's one of the worst most costly foreign policy blunders in us history.

Well, by stating in your question the word "poor", you are automatically implying he's a bad one and only reasons why he is poor should be typed here. So, in a way, you are taking sides.
EDIT: (in response to your additional details)
LOL, I'll answer now.
He's not that bad, but with there being so much liberal media propaganda seems to spill from every other tv channel. A lot of people believe what they hear, and will spread it. "Hey, I heard this on CNN last night.." "NBC said that..."
You see? Word of mouth is by far the largest and easiest form of communication and advertisement of a certain business, agenda, idea, etc.
Reasons why he's good:
*Strong Economy
*Lowered taxes
*Looking into alternative fuels
*Liberated Iraq
*Brought democracy to the Middle East
*Strong stance against terrorism
Reaons why hes bad: (imo)
*Is pro-amnesty for illegals
*Is pro-amnesty for illegals
*Is pro-amnesty for illegals
*Is pro-amnesty for illegals
