Depends on the mood swing. Sometimes we want to be comforted. If it seems like she's going to you and wants to be around you during this mood swing, she wants love. Hug her, hold her, tell her everything will be okay, compliment her, and try to understand where she's coming from. Whatever you do, do not trivialize the problem! If it seems like you are dismissing it as a stupid mood swing, it's gonna get worse. If it's more of a hormonal thing and she's just cranky, then leave her alone! She'll come back once she's sane! U already said it DEAL with it. That is your answer. Woman are emotional and most of the time thats where the mood swings come from. That or either PMS. Either way Deal ignore it even don't care and you'll do fine

Keep busy, stay away from her, don't argue, don't criticize, pretend you are walking on eggshells when you are around her (trust me, you are), do or say nothing that puts any stress on her, don't take her target shooting at this time, keep your mouth shut and your head down. All this is good practice for when she starts having hot flashes at age fifty or thereabouts.

my dh is usually extra nice to me during those times. and yes I do let him know I appreciate it!!!
I should point out that a lot of us don't even like to be around ourselves during that time. It's not like we enjoy being like that. If I could figure out how to stop it I would.
