I have a directional fabric, and a pattern with squares rotated to look like diamonds. Can i cut the fabric on the bias so my fabric can be "pointing" up?

Yes, like the previous, I've done it, but remember all your edges will be on the bias so will be a bit stretchy, which is why a bit of light iron-on interfacing would be useful.

I cut fabric every which way. If it pulls funny, you can always use interfacing.
