Sunshine Of Your Love was written by Erica Clapton, Jack Bruce, & Peter Brown. Jack Bruce, Eric Clapton & Ginger Baker formed Cream & released this song on their album 'Disraeli Gears' in 1967.
Hendrix caught wind of this and played it often live. There's a great version of Hendrix playing this composition right after Cream broke up with Jefferson Airplane bassist Jack Cassidy guesting in Noel Redding's place with Mitch Mitchell on drums. This version is on the 'Jimi Hendrix Live At Winterland' cd (Out of print on Rykodisk. Sorry!)

It was originally recorded and release by Cream
but Jimi loved it so much that he played it live
at many of his shows. I don't believe he ever
recorded it in a studio and no commercial live
releases contain it other then the Dagger Records
release "Live at the Oakland Coliseum"
