Hitting the ball with a thrown glove is illegal.
If the fielder throws his glove at a ball over his head, the batter is awarded three bases with any runners advancing home. It's covered under Rule 7.05C:

The only exception would be a fielder throwing his glove at a ball going over the fence. It that case, the batter is awarded home base.

No.
Three bases, if a fielder deliberately throws his glove at and touches a fair ball. The ball is in play and the batter may advance to home base at his peril.
Two bases, if a fielder deliberately throws his glove at and touches a thrown ball. The ball is in play; the umpire must rule that the thrown glove or detached cap or mask has touched the ball.
BUT, There is no penalty if the ball is not touched. Under this penalty shall not be invoked against a fielder whose glove is carried off his hand by the force of a batted or thrown ball, or when his glove flies off his hand as he makes an obvious effort to make a legitimate catch.

no its not and anyone who actually says it is really dont know baseball. It is a 3 base award to the batter. The only time a player is allowed to throw their glove is when the ball is in the glove itself(locked in the webbing) and this has happend several times.

yes. but you must have control of the ball to make an out. it the impossible chance that the ball goes in your glove, you have to catch your glove without losing the ball. throwing your glove up in the air is pretty useless, and you look like a total loser. just hustle for the ball and make a good relay
hope this helps :)

nope because if the mitt hits the ball the batter is awarded 3 bases and so are the others that are on base

I'm taking a guess on this.
I'm saying you probably could but most people don't because you don't know where it would land. And if it miraculously lands in the glove it's still not an out because the glove needs to be connected to you.

I guess, it would sure look funny, but who cares. If you stopped it you would be the hero! I do it when I play catch sometimes. Oh yeah, if you mean trying to catch it in your glove, good luck.

sure it is. The idea is you hope to stop the ball from traveling for a home run or knock it down so you can make a play. You don't see it much. Pretty much a little league thing
