i saw this movie several months ago-not in the theater i watched it on tv.its .theres a a girl and a young boy who move to a big creepy house owned by their grandfather i think and the boy starts seeing ghosts. later in the movie it turns out the grandfather is a member of this wierd cult that needed a few more kids to sacrifice.on the floor of the living room was a star/circle thing...i dont remember much more.my friend told me that was the messengers but i didnt go to the theater to see that film and i havent rented it.

It is called Darkness. The only person I remember is Anna Paquin because she plays Rogue in the X-men movies.
