I don't know why, but I am pretty bored with everything. I am not motivated by anything. I am not unhappy, but I think there has got to be something more. I have a good marriage and kids. Any ideas?

Want a real pick-me-up? Join a cause. Volunteer at a soup kitchen and have your family go with you. Get involved with Big Brothers. Do something outside of yourself that enriches the life of someone else. It really is true that as you enrich the life of someone else, you also become enriched. Also, it wouldn't hurt to develop an interesting hobby like maybe woodworking, sculpting, or some form of martial arts. Make a list of things that peak your interest. Raise the bar in your life, but make sure you don't leave your family behind. Try and get involved with something that the family would benefit from as well. : )

I am a lot like you (except about marriage and kids, as i am still a minor :)). I get bored quickly with almost everything i do on a day-to-day basis. I find that i get a weird since of happiness when i just let go of thinking and everythign else, and i just naturaly do stuff. This even made me realise I do things that I don't really enjoy doing for some reason. For example: I was doing what i said above, and then i thought i needed to put my video game character in a place for him to train while i could be afk. So i got ont he comp and I started to do it, but then i asked myself "!!!! What am i doing?!?!?!? I was doing something i REALLY enjoyed, and now i'm doing this boring thing of moving my character to some place. It doesn't even make me happy. And then i thought "it's because i'll get better at the game" then i said "then what? that will make me happy" and then i realised it wouldn't. So i stopped and continuted to do what i did before :).

What are your interest? Well, what is it you used to love? Ask your wife and kids what they want to do as activities, and try them. Going on vacation getting out of whats everyday routine.Nature is always a good remedy.Or even doing things on your own.It could be taking a yoga class, charity work. Try to write book. Anything. Its all about getting out there. if you don't like something see what it is and maybe you can get an understanding of what the real problem might be. talking to your wife can help also, you never know maybe she feels the same way. and if that doesn't work get a life coach. Good Luck OOO

I think you need to do something unpredictable or maybe go on a vacation. You are probably bored of the routine which happens to everyone. Don't think that there is something more, because you may ruin your relationship with your family. The grass isn't always greener. You will get out of this rut soon. Just try to change things up and do something different.

You should change your routine of the day. Maybe you are tired and need some vacation. Maybe you are bored of the same people. Maybe you think into future too much or you are in mood swings. Just live for the day:)

Close you eyes and imagine your wife and kids having crappy lives because their dad couldn't find his spine.

Now open your eyes and man up.

Happiness comes from the sense you are fulfilling your purpose.

If you think your suppose to be chasing supermodels, family life will bore you.

Personally, I think the points of chasing supermodels is to one day have a family.
