What you weigh is just fine honey!!! I gained my first month, but then when my morning sickness really kicked in, I lost a couple of pounds.
You won't be gaining the 25-35 pounds thinner women gain during pregnancy, but you can still have a perfectly healthy pregnancy and baby. It's what you eat, not always how much you eat. I think the recommendation for "overweight" women is to gain about 15 pounds during their pregnancy, but I don't really agree with what they call overweight.
Congrats & Good Luck!!! :)

Sometimes pregnant women use that as an excuse for overeating. Psychologically, maybe you feel like you need to eat for two when in reality it is better to have a balanced diet. You really need to watch your weight with this pregnancy because you are already a little on the plus size. For your baby's sake and for yours, please try to eat healthier and exercise. People hate to do it, but eating french fries and other unhealthy things are only going to add to the problem. Another risk for you is diabetes. Women who are bigger have a much higher risk of getting diabetes during pregnancy than those who are average size. I am not trying to sound harsh, I'm just trying to help you avoid the risks associated with obesity. Size 15 is right on that line and you have a chance to nip it in the bud before it gets out of control. You could also be retaining a lot of water to gain that much weight at such an early stage of pregnancy. Drink lots of water and low fat or skim milk because the baby eats up twice as much of your calcium when you are pregnant than when you are not. Also try to avoid processed foods and those high in sodium. CONGRATULATIONS on your news, I wish you and your baby the best of luck.

Just keep doing what the doctors advise and yes, it is possible to have a healthy pregnancy. Some people who aren't pregnant can gain 6 pounds in a month.

Yes. I am overweight and I've actually lost weight my entire pregnancy because of eating healthier. I gained weight the first two months but lost weight the following. I am 7 months pregnant today and I weigh less than I did before pregnancy. The doctor isn't concerned and the baby is developing perfectly! Congrats

I think you can still have a healty pregnancy just eat very nutricous food and well what you can eat with out being sick because of baby. Then you will giving nutrients to the baby and you and lose weight at the same time, thats if you wanted to lose weight whilst pregnant.
If you are going to lose weight whilst pregnant dont lose a lot because it could do something to the pregnancy, if you have any questions to ask I would go to your doctor to a family planning clinic to get some professional advise.

Good Luck....x Hope ive helped

No, it is not normal. If you gain this way, then you are going to morbidly obease by the end of the pregnancy. The baby is only 1 cm long. I didn't even barely show till 5 months. You must have gained fat.

No worries, it is possible to have aperfectly normal pregnancy and to have a healthy baby. What is most important right now is to eat healthy, drink lots of water, and keep your docs appt. They do see women that heavy and heavier. It is true there can be complications with heavier women during pregnancies, like gestational diabetes, high blood pressure, etc. But this is not a certain fact that you will have it... Hang in there!

Yes you can still have a healthy pregnancy... Just try to choose healthier to satisfy your cravings. I have gained 14 pounds at 6 months and was 220 when i started. i think i gained 5 in the first two months and my doc was ok with it.

You definately do not look like you weigh 246 lbs! Just take care of yourself. Eat healthfully and worry about losing weight after the baby is born. And Congrats on the blessing!
