Baby number 3...

Ok- I was supposed to start a new pill pack June 10th. I only took 3, then we decided I wouldn't take them anymore. So my last pill was on the 12th. The 10th-the 12th were the only days I took it this month. A few days later, I had a 2 day period of bright red bleeding. One more week went by, and I had a "wipe" of pink one time. Throughout this month, we have had unprotected sex. I tested positive last night, but had several negatives within the last few weeks (also battled a fierce UTI up until this week)..... When calculating the due date, which date would be considered the first day of my last period? Is it more complicated than that considering the circumstances? Thank you!

I would consider the 14th to be your last menstrual period.. and the light pink swipe a week later as possible implantation bleeding. I'm not sure ovulation bleeding or breakthrough bleeding would be bright red, but it is entirely possibly your bleeding on the 12th was a combo of ovulation and stopping the pill.

You may have conceived on the pill, which has happened before and your period was last month. You will have to bring all this up to your Dr. who may then want to perform a vaginal ultrasound to see if they can determine the baby's gestational age that way.. Also, a blood test will give them an idea of how far along you might be based on your HCG levels, but if you just got a positive this week and a couple negatives, you may just conceived.

Good Luck.. let us know what happens..

The first day of your last period is not always correct when it comes to due dates. I have been reading around.. and only really 5% of women have their baby on there due date. So I would suggest waiting until your first ultra sound to find out exactly how far along you are. And at that time you will have a little more of an idea. Also I have read that your 2day light period.. might of been associated with having getting off the pill, or it could of been something called implantation bleeding.. which is when the embryo attaches to the uterus wall. So maybe you ovulated right away after you stopped the pill.

I have a personal question, you mentioned you had several negative test within the last few weeks, then finally got a positive? So I guess that truly does mean home pregnancy test are not always accurate. I myself think I may be pregnant, but kept getting negatives, I finally gave up about 2 weeks ago. And now I am about to miss period #2 on Saturday. Hopefully I too get a positive, or my period. GOOD LUCK>>> CONGRATULATIONS

I would calculate the first day of your last peroid being the 2 days of bright red bleeding (however those cold be break through bleeding form not taking the pill). You are probably looking at a due date of the end of MArch first of April. If you had several days of neg. but finally a pos last night, it probably means you only concieved 2-3 weeks ago. What brand of pg test did you use?

Also if you took meds for a UTI, that could negate the pills you took...

[one million] undergo in innovations that being pregnant weeks start up on the initiating of the cycle. So even in spite of the undeniable fact which you technically have not even had the intercourse that at last ends up in a new child, you're one million week pregnant a pair of week previously you conceive. So 6 weeks pregnant ability 2 weeks after your missed era. it particularly is puzzling. [2] as ordinary because of the fact the belief of a "missed era" seems to maximum persons, many females people have not got time-honored cycles and hence do no longer notice that they have got missed their era. Start taking a USP multi-vitamin now. Get a check up. The ultrasound will give you a good idea of the due date. Is the guy sticking around?

As soon as you go to the doctor let them know you are unsure. they can do a sonogram to find out the due date.
