I'd suggest you print up something to be used as handouts and put on poles and in stores. Call the vets in the area and alert them, call the place where you had your pet chipped and alert them that your pet is missing. Then ask your family and friends to case the neighborhood. If your pet became lost within a few hours he probably will respond to you yelling his name. Call the pet shelters.
