I'm thinking of painting the pine box I keep my tarot cards in, What colors/symbols would the most harmonious

I've been told purple is a good color for storing tarot cards but I don't remember why! I was also told a symbol of the third eye, for clarity, is good too. Decorate with what you feel attracted to. Sounds like you already know to trust your instincts :)

If you want to paint, go ahead. I'd recommend a green wash on the pine. Wash is diluted paint. I think it would look great & not interfere with anything. I'm not into Tarot myself, but do know something about Nature. Look on the net for Paint, Wash. Most likely Lowe's or bmg.com would be helpful. It's awfully easy.

Amongst your friends or covenors you may find one with a broken Tarot deck (cards missing.) If you are lucky the card that represents you in the spreads may still be available. Get a good grade of shellac--a natural preserving liquid not chemicals--and shellac the whole box. When shellacked place your card on the sticky lid. Wait a bit and shellac over you card.

The card and the cards are yours.

Don't paint it! Doing so will diminish the power. Regarding symbols, you should place a decal of a cow in the position know as top, eye level, center, i.e., centered and about 3/4 the way up from the bottom.

leave it as it is you could put a pice of fabrick on it but leave your box plan it will take the power way from your cards

use symbols that you identify with. sigils that can perhaps help focus the energy, again, ones that you personally identify with.
