I mean lets face it someone who has been rejected by many and loved by few. has been abused, and used and nothing left to do, it feels like the only reason they are here is to be used and abused I mean what kind of life is that????? The only person they do have is God. And he seems so far away!!! It seems as if this person dosnt have a choice. they cant supporet them selves. I dont know.........what do you think????????????????????????????????????

I think God is plenty of a friend, but I think someone who commits suicide can still make it into heaven.
Still, suicide isn't what you should do. Look, life isn't always going to make sense, but God loves you. You will hurt, but God loves you. You will fall, but God loves you. And God wants you. You are loved by God. Why not testify that. You know God is the answer because of feeling. You are a good disciple because you love God. Look, maybe you don't feel important right now, but you have to step back and realize that no one is important. No one is more or less important than you, but there is a difference between you and all the others. You love God. I don't know if this is right, but sometimes I look to others lives as a form of motivation. I see them chasing after dreams of wealth, or, like a Pharisee, repeating the idea of responsibility over and over again, and I realize I don't want what they have. I want God. I want the God who loves me, who has loved me, and who will love me. I don't think you should commit suicide because there is more you can do. You can pray and love. You can take risks for God that you never dared to try, and if they are for God, God will find you in them.
Look at the guy above me. He has a better answer.

First this question is only relevant if you believe in GOD. My belief is that the only beings that go to hell are Satan and his disciples, the rest of us just cease to exist. There are many instances of suicide in the bible and those people went to heaven. Do you really believe a loving God would put us here to suffer the misery that is associated with depression? I would have to say he isn't very loving if he did, or he doesn't exist, take your pick. I understand exactly what you are talking about. When is it time to say enough? When you have always done the right thing and been screwed around for years and years, until you find yourself in a hole so deep you can't possibly pull yourself out of it? Or is it when you have exhausted all your resources in the medical community, and discovered they are only there to take your money and help make the hole deeper? Or is it when you pray and pray and receive only more of the same? Or maybe when we realize God doesn't answer us because God doesn't exist. I can't answer those questions for you. Some people commit suicide because someone called them fat or their girlfriend broke up with them. When I commit suicide it will be because I am disgusted with the human race and I no longer want to be a part of it. Nobody can tell you what the right time or circumstance is for you or anyone else. Oh, and for some people time stands still and things never improve or pass, they just continue. : (

I am not a very spiritual person. My mom baptized me catholic sent me to school only to play lip service to the whole thing as a means for free education.

I am confused by the whole thing. I believe in god and his son but if he is all forgiving i have a hard time thinking he would send a person to hell. However your throwing his greatest gift back in his face and insulting him. So if i answer this on a religious basis yes you will go to hell. Scientific life is over at death and that is it no more. However i am a combination of the two and i wouldn't risk suicide because i don't know. I have thought of it often in my past. I was abused and molested and had every bad thing in my life imaginable happen. However one day things turned around for me and now my life is full and happy and i have a daughter and a husband and working on buying my own home. So please reconsider.

I think a loving and merciful God would not let a loving and good yet hurting soul go to hell. I remember reading in the Bible that it is by Gods grace that we are saved. But I don't think that that should give you a free pass to suicide. If you are having those feelings you need to speak with someone right away. Don't just give up and let the darkness beat you.I myself have struggled with those thoughts throughout my life and though things may be going bad, atleast there is still hope for a brighter future. If you take your life, theres no hope/chance for anything better. I read this saying and it helped me, "Pain is temporary, quitting lasts forever." You are in my prayers. Best wishes, hon.

It sounds like you are contemplating committing suicide because you want to go be with the Lord. The issue here isn't if suicide is ok with God. The issue here is you need serious help with your depression. Are you on medication for it? Do you have loving and supportive family, friends and fellow Christians? You need them now. Talk to them and let them love and help you. We are here for you, too. Old wounds are hard to heal and can still cause great pain after many years. But God can free you from it. Suicide isn't the answer. That is never an acceptable option. I will say a pray for you my sister. We love you and are with you.

When you start talking about something like suicide you are in effect saying that your problems are bigger then God.

I am sorry you're going through a hard time. We all do. If you thought enough to ask this question realize you serve a God that built the very foundations of the earth and set the earth into motion.
Talk to people. I'm praying for you. But seek Jesus whose looking down on you and who loves you.
We ALL feel this way. I've felt this way, and then I had to quit looking at the problem. I had to quit looking at myself, I really had to start looking at God.
All things work for the good of those who serve Him.
Will you go to hell? I don't know. Jesus is so merciful maybe not. But there's a much better way.
And please, please talk to someone. Find someone who will honestly talk to you and listen to you and who cares.

I'm praying for you.

no, God will not send a person to hell for suicide; the act is a sin, but it is no different than any other sin: pride, covetousness, lust, anger, gluttony, selfishness laziness, etc.

If you are depressed, why not try to overcome it by rising above it, ask youself what good can come out of the bad that has happened to me?

Keep in mind, if you are very depressed, you are way more likely to be able to relate to and help others who are hurting and there are alot of other people hurting, terminally ill, lonely, etc; that desperately need support!

First let me start out saying that I don't believe that there is a heaven or hell, just in reincarnation. If a person is here on earth, their mission is to live, love and laugh and to overcome negativity from past lifes. If a person committs suicide as a way out then that person will have to come back at a later time to learn and overcome negativity. Life is like a school learn and move on, not to quit. I would recommend that you find a good counselor and try to make the most out of this life.

I think God would send you to Hell... if not taking your own life (His gift to you) is not a Hell going offense then what is? There are always choices darlin. I am in what seems to me a desperate situation too but I know that it will get better eventually especially if I face it head on. There is someone out there who loves you... I mean this person.... no one is alone unless they want to be.

I just looked it up on my churches website. This particular paragraph caught my eye.

“Suicide consists in the voluntary and intentional taking of one’s own life, particularly where the person involved is accountable and has a sound mind. … Persons subject to great stresses may lose control of themselves and become mentally clouded to the point that they are no longer accountable for their acts. Such are not to be condemned for taking their own lives. It should also be remembered that judgment is the Lord’s; he knows the thoughts, intents, and abilities of men; and he in his infinite wisdom will make all things right in due course.”
