You think he's worth the money, so no...not too much. Plus, you can pretty well count on him being dependable and reliable, because he knows it's worth it to him. :-) BB

How big is your yard? I honestly believe what he earns shouldn't be based on if he's a good kid or not, it should be based on productivity and how hard he works. $45 for mowing a lawn (which can't take more than 2 hours) is a punch in the face to those who work in an office all day and only earn $10-15 per hour. Reduce the wages.

Wow, I was only paid 20 for mowing, edging, trimming and pickup. that was when i was 17..........8 years ago. I want to be that kid, 45 dollars in 1 maybe 2 hours, he could make more then you if he did that for all the neighborhood kids.

Depends on the size of your yard! But if he does a good job and is reliable I think $45.00 is a fair rate of pay! :)

how old is he? It does sound like a lot. $45 should include that and washing your car and any other chores around. Hey where do you live I could use $45. LOL

I don't think it's too much if he's doing a good job. You'd pay more for professional work. Much more.
