My guess would be either Texas or Alaska. Those were really popular.

This is a guess, but Im thinking Hawaii was his biggest seller.
Beyond that, I think Tales of the South Pacific is the best known of his works as it got turned into the all time Stage and Movie Classic "South Pacific".

Although he won the Pulitzer for his "TALES OF THE SOUTH PACIFIC," I would have to say it was probably "HAWAII. I have no authority on which to base this answer, just intuition.

I will look around for further information and, if I find it, I'll edit this to include whatever I found...

I think it is Hawaii. I devoured that one but a lot of the others were tedious.
