Aren't we lucky to have a political watchdog who alerts us to things that are wrong with our systems? Mr. Moore is bright and articulate and knows what he's talking about, and we should appreciate his effort and listen carefully. Our health care system is seriously broken and we need to address the problem.

Tort law does need an overhaul and outrageously high settlements should become history. And, they certainly are part of the problem.

I forgot that, at this particular time of day, this forum is overwhelmingly covered by cons. I should ask questions in the evening, after the liberals get home after work! And, you are all so wrong in thinking Mr. Moore is totally self- serving. You angry ones are against anything that makes sense.

I agree with you, and I do think he is attempting to be a provocateur or muckraker. Our country has benefitted from people like him down through the years, and we need people like him to bring up certain problems for national discussion. Not every American will agree on what we should do about the health care problem, but I think most people will agree that there is a problem and that we should be working on a solution.

Michael Moore is nothing more than the democrats mouthpiece. He has consistently taken sides against republicans regardless of the issue. He claims to be balanced but a closer look at his numbers will show he cherry picks them to accomodate his liberal bias. Watch him back -peddle (poorly, incidentally), when he is questioned about his sources and why he choses them for his movies. I have seen him do this during debates regardling both Columbine and the new "Sicko" movie. He will attack and attack but if he is attacked he quickly changes the subject and does not answer.

Put it this way, if Pres. Bush ran into a burning home and saved 3 babies, he would find fault with it somewhere and create another movie entitled "The Burning Bush".

It's too bad the Moore is so far to the left. His movie ideas are good but they are not balanced at all. Extreme left bias.

Moltar I take it you have never gone to a doctor and had him seriously mess up, such as doing an amputation on your right leg and actually amputating your left leg instead. If something like that ever happened to you, you would definately be glad filing a malpractice suit is a possible option for you. People who do not believe what Moore is saying about our healthcare have not had a realistic view and have not been sick much yet, as you get older you may be fortunate enough not to have a horrible experience, but chances are you'll see reality one day. I am actually glad that people are so oblivious to what actually goes on in doctors offices and hospitals, because if they knew there would be a lot more law suits than there already are.

Moltar we have a case right now of a baby that was delivered and the doctor did not perform a C section in timely fashion, she was in fetal distress, he kept delaying it hoping for a vaginal birth, she was in cardiac arrest when he finally decided to perform the C-section, this little baby is blind, has a tracheotomy, and has permenant brain damage this could have all been avoided had the doctor acted in manner that was equal to the standard of care. I'm glad your kids are healthy.

Political watchdog? Good grief, you have got to be kidding. Moore is nothing more than a self-serving huckster whose myriad of lies and distortions have been well chronicled.

If you truly believe our healthcare system to be broken, I have a very simple solution that almost no one wants to here. It's called living a healthier lifestyle.

Moore filmed the worst possible senerio and tells the people, that takes him seriously, that this is our health care system.... its obvious the ones that believe him never seen a hospital or a clinic in thier lifetime.

He then goes the best possible hospitals around the world (on money given by the above people that support his fiction) and presents that as "true" health care.

I've seen health care in 3rd world countries... believe me those people would feel theyre getting first class treatment from one of our local clinics.

LOL.. Micael Moore is self-serving money grubber and a liar.

Our TORT LAW system needs fixing first.

Healthcare will make a lot more sense when doctors can actually afford to practice.
