There are no real moderates in either party. Giulliani said last week that he thought Bush was not tough enough on going after terrorists and not doing enough in this country to catch them. In other words he thought there should be more wiretapping of Americans and more restrictions handed down. That is not being a moderate. And, no one on the Republican side said they would NOT nuke Iran except Ron Paul. The threat of using NUKES is not a moderate position. It is hard core right wing. Clinton didn't even take it off the table. Come on people 90% of the candidates are right of center in their views. They are all corporate military capitalists. The only exceptions are Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich.

Sure. I am a democrat and see Giuliani and McCain as moderates. I see Obama and Clinton as moderates. They are all closer to one another ideologically than they are to the fringes of their parties.

Unfortunately the right and left know less about moderates then they know about each other. Since they do not educate themselves, they use whatever convenient label they come up with.

Im moderate, but around here it saves time and energy just to label myself as whichever I am compared to the asker....its sad, but its cut my answer time in half.

I believe in moderates, but around here it frequently seems like we're a very small minority because people identify the way you say.
