Do a bucket of of warm water and a cup of bleach and pour it down all the drains in the bathroom. Shower one, sink, and the one that sits in the floor. You will find this will get rid of the smell until someone next wee's in the shower or bath. That's what cause's it.

Well the obvious answer to this question would be to use some sort of cleaning product or deodorizer, but i dont suppose that you would be asking such a rediculous question if your bathroom only needed to be cleaned.

I've noticed over the years as a contractor that when a bathroom has a "pee odor" as you described that it is caused by a source of moisture that is allowing something (usually the floor around or under the toilet) to stay wet and breed those nasty bacteria that give off the lovely pee smell. There are three places that I usually look for leaks around a toilet.

1- the supply line/ valve
2- the gasket between the tank and bowl
3- the very scary wax ring that seals your toilet to the floor.

It doesnt take much water for the wood subfloor in your bathroom to become moist and begin to rot and harbor nasty bacteria. My advice is make sure you're dry, and then start cleaning.

You could go to the website for Warren Eckstein's radio program The Pet Show & get some of the Stain & Odor Remover spray that's designed for pet accidents. Maybe that would work. Could also try something with tea tree oil & lavender in it. I have a bathroom cleaner, LifeTree's Bathroom Cleaner, from the health food store. It has those 2 ingredients, & it smells very nice. I'm sensitive to smells, but like this one very well. You could also try a baking soda solution. Sprinkle down the area, leave it overnight, & then mop it up the next morning.

Bleach is the best, but not everyone can handle that. Try borax, lemon juice, and tree tea oil. The borax (20-Mule Team will do) will clean it, lemon juice (which is acidic) will cut through lime crust which usually holds the odor and ecoli, etc., and Tee Trea Oil is a natural antiseptic ... only about 4 or 5 drops. Hope this helps, almost nothing smells worse in the loo room than pee pee fragrance.

After we moved in to our house, we noticed a pee smell and we ended up taking our toliet up and removing the vinyl flooring. Around the area where the bowl was, the floor was rank. We had to take up the flooring around the toliet and we painted the sub floor with the paint the covers smells, ect. Just redoing the whole area. And now, no smell.

Ammonia, oxyclean. TSP plus bleach. I would try warm water with bleach and TSP but use a mask and where a long shirt when applying with rubber gloves. Apply with a sponge and scrub, let dry and rinse or wipe with a sponge that has no TSP and bleach in it

You may have other problems there and might need to hire a good plumber. Good luck.

Wash the entire bathroom, and I mean top to bottom including the entire toilet (inside and out), with a good disinfectant like Mr. Clean or Pine Sol. Then use one of those solid deodorants for the toilet.

Scrub it with floral scented Clorox & hot water. It should kill the odor right away. If there is urine on the floor around the base of the commode, be sure to get plenty of Clorox there as well.
