In fact US only can eleminate terrorism. What US is doing is not appreciated due to ineffective publicity.US Information Service is in bad shape.During the Kennedy Days, there were USInformation Services throufh out the world giving effective publicity to US policies. It had been issueing free newsletters and pamphlets through out the world. The VOA cannot be heard in most part of the world (like BBC).Even good deeds require publicity. It is high time some body took initiative to revamp US Publicity around the world, before any intervention in Iran.
Secondly the US stand is un understadable. While it is proclaiming war against terrorism,it is supporting a terrorist country PAKISTAN,where there are organised training schools for terrorists.Osama is living there like a king. The WTC incident was planned in Pakistan. Now the terrorists trained in Pakistan has turned against their mentor Musfraff.
The axis of US with terrorist Mushraff is the greatest threat to the world now.

That sounds about right.
Here is my thought on it.

If the state motto of Iran was "Death to the world" instead of "Death to America" the polls would be far different. Iran has antagonized the US since the mid 70's. The US will not sit back and allow a country to continuously harrass us with out some sort of action.
What did the US do when Iran took our embassy hostage? Took the British sailors? Arrested four Americans? At some point in time it will come out that Iran is aiding terrorists that are killing Iraqis and our troops...and when it does what SHOULD the US do?

Yes, the US does not really need to win the War just need the resources from Iraq and Afghanistan. War on terrorism is a cover up and the terrorist are usually coming out of Pakistan and Iran. If they come from Pakistan for the most part why did the war start in Afghanistan and then Iraq. I love my country but greed is involved. The US has created its own monster and needs to back off before it is to late. I do support the troops and it is time for some of them to come home.

Can't say that I blame them. Iran hasn't actually invaded anyone lately, for one. For another, they're a land-locked third-world country. The US is a first-world country with access to both the Atlantic and Pacific ocean, not to mention the fact that it spends more on defense each year than every other country in the world combined.
The US could hypothetically attack any nation on Earth anytime it so desired with its aerial and naval capabilities. Iran would be lucky if it somehow managed to hit its neighbor Israel.

Edit: The comments of Romeo and Sweetpea above me demonstrate another reason why the rest of the world considers us a threat. It's a bit scary that such selfish, ignorant and belligerent attitudes are so prevalent here in the USA.

I cannot recall Iran, China, Russia or the traditional American enemies travelling half way across the world to loot oil! This is self explainitory.

I think the US is itching for WW3

Until that madman in Washington goes back to Texas - and all his henchman disappear into the general population, America IS the most dangerous country in the world.

Did they ask people that the U.S. has committed terrorist actions against?

Did they go to Nicaragua or Haiti? What about the Chagos Islands, where they (along with England) uprooted people who had been living there for generations just for a military base?

The list goes on, but the U.S. is a true source of terrorism to the world, but Americans will never hear our victims. We will go on blissfully ignorant while our government tramples on people's lives.

I would say that we should remind those countries about those polls the next time they ask us for something.

Don't you think that we have figured out that you are not our friends and only pretend to like us when you want something?
