perspective "that" is a sign that I trust him. He said, if I'm giving him this he'll take it, but he also mentioned that this is my private space, am I sure? I replied "of course, It is not like u're going to come in and barge in all thetime. I trust you". We haven't talked for two days, although it is normal behavior. But I'm now in doubts whether I made the right move. I certainly don't want to freak him out, that's the least of my intention. I want nothing back in return. So, wondering on what your opinion is.
hopefully you guys can give me good insight.

I think that after a year, that it is about time that one of you made a move to show your trust.

If that is freaking him out after a year then obviously the two of you are not on the same line of thought. You should talk to him and let him know exactly what your intentions were, that you don't expect anything from him. If he is still shying away maybe he never had any intentions of a future with you, which case don't worry just start looking for someone else.

I think that you can show appreciation, trust or loyalty in other ways. He has no reason to have your house key. You haven't heard from him in two days? You must really trust him. If he has no real reason to have your house key you shouldn't have given it to him. I could see if maybe he comes over when your asleep and you don't feel like climbing out of be for the door or something. I think that maybe you should have gave him a promise ring or something.

giving a person a house key is a big step in a relationship to me because it shows that you trust someone with your personal life. If he starts to show up when you aren't there and takes stuff or messes stuff up, I would sit down and talk to him about it and see if you can fix things. But if hes doing sweet stuff and being romantic, I wouldn't let it bother you. Maybe the reason that he hasn't talked to you is because he doesn't know what to do about it. You should try calling him up and asking how he feels about it.

I hope this helped.
Let me know how things work out.

Did He Give A Key To His Place Or Does He Still Live With His MOMMY.....Think About It When Your Stuff Goes Missing

you dont need to give someone keys to your house to prove you love them. i dont think it was a good move especially because youre questioning it. so now that youve given it to him, youre stuck with ur decision. it doesnt seem like youre comfortable with this concept. itd be hard to get it back and itd be like saying you dont trust him. really i dont know what you should do.

Sounds like you did the right thing. He may never use it OR you may come home one night and all your "stuff" we be gone. Who knows.
Good luck.

What is your Question ? Should you have given him the key? Probably not--he didn't want it.

Call him up, and tell him your concerns~see where it goes in the conversation as to what you decide to do.
