Cars don't automatically break down at a certain mileage...thats ridiculous. However, $6900 for that truck? That's out to lunch. I'd offer no more than 2 thousand IF the car passes inspection.

My 1995 Silverado 4X4 has 170,000 and runs strong. It has not had regular oil changes and has ben abused all it's life. A tree fell on it, it has had a trailer roll into it, a Mustang T-bone the drivers door, and it came up a little short one night at the desert trying to jump a wash out.....and I still trust it to chase for a class one car in Mexico 3 times a year. I think Chevy builds a great truck......but the price is a little high.

with those miles, no, not a good price. As a rule, depending on how it was maintained and serviced and driven, your at the end of the engine life. However, I use mobil 1 synthetic oil in my vehicles, and I don't trade or sell them off till around 300,000 miles. If I use just regular oil, I end up getting rid of em at 200,000 miles. Due to enternal engine wear. I wouldn't pay more than $4250.00 and I'd keep the rest on hand for the new motor it's gonna need real soon. Plus, that's a lot of miles for a pickup, you know how hard they get used. The tranny etc is gonna be badly worn too. me, I'd really try to find a truck with less than half those miles if you expect it to last you for a while.

I really need a little more detail on the truck, but a 99 extended cab LS 2WD with those miles has a wholesale book of 5500, retail 8000

As far as when they breakdown, if it's well taken care of the whole rest of the truck will desintigrate before the motor.

as far as mileage goes i had a 4 banger S10 with 210,000 miles on it and the only thing i had go wrong on it was the water pump freezing on me one day. GM makes an outstanding truck but prevenative maintenance and upkeep are key. The price is crazy though.

I don't what you are looking at but the NADA price for just a base model is 6500. Look it up yourself and see. As far as breaking down, that many miles on anything I would be surprised with anything.

the price depends on the condition but the miles depends on how it has been drove. my buddy has a 95 gmc with 367,000 miles on the original motor and it still runs and drives like a newer vehicle
