Beans.
bush beans recipe
you will need
1 can of baked beans
1 pocket knife
Fire
Use knife to poke a couple of holes in the top of the can. Stand the can in the coals at the base of a small cooking fire. Turn the can regularly until heated, Remove top of can using pocket knife and if you have a spoon you can dig in!
If you don't have a spoon it will be necessary to carve a small paddle out of wood (hardwood is best) so you can avoid the unpleasant prospect of using the can lid as a spoon. This should be done while you wait for the beans to heat.

I know this is gross, but I have eaten Baked Beans out of the can.. We were on a camping trip and sometimes when you forget a pot...you just put the can on the fire and eat out of the can.

Haha! Yes! When I was pregnant, sometimes I would be craving stuff so bad that it's like I couldn't even wait to heat it up! I would just eat it right out of the can. Mostly Chef Boyardee stuff from what I recall.
