You go into the convenience store to pay for your gas or pick up an item or 2 and get to the cash register and the clerk is gabbing away on the phone (you can tell by the convo) its a personal call and they just stand there and look at you like you are invisible and then treat you like crap because you interrupted them?

Very rude!, stick your money or card up close to their nose, paying customers are more important at work than gabbing on the phone....and they are getting paid....thank you

You know what I did? I called the store! So when they answer the phone I ask them if they had a cashier that will ring up what I want to buy. Like I care. I started doing that when I was pregnant. I was a little moody.

Whenever that happens I assume I don't have to pay for any of it and start to walk out of the store with a few things. That always seems to get their damn attention.

Yes, and I'm not afraid to make a comment to them either. Workers like that should realize there are many jobless people out there who CAN and WILL take their place in a heartbeat.

I always just stand there and say," no, carry on, I will wait for you." That usually gets them off the phone and makes them look bad....
