I have a real ar*sehole living upstairs he tries bullying me and other neighbours. Just wondered if you had any stories about good/bad neighbours. thanks

...surely everyone has good and bad neighbors mags....but how they are gonna affectively contribute to YOUR reactions to them?....will absolutely be up to you hun. I simply ignore mean and cruel and irrational people otherwise. There's no need for me to react badly to them seriously. It would serve no purpose other then to fan the flames of continuously bad Karma....wouldn't you agree? I don't believe in trying to get even with folks otherwise. It would be a great waste of energy of my own precious time reasonably. People are who they are sweetie. Either accept them as such...or cast them out of your own personal radar babe. Does any of this common sense stuff sorta kinda create some peace for you darlin? Let me know babe if it doesn't.....cool?

I am so lucky with my neighbours now but previously I lived in a basement flat and the blonde bimbo who lived upstairs had every thief, mugger, druggy in her flat (her words not mine). I think she was trying to make me feel better as she said they never steal from their own doorstep. The music would start at about 11pm and end about 5am. The pictures on my wall would vibrate!
I tried complaining but they were all so intimidating that I would have to drive home to mums in the early hours of the morning just to get some sleep. I rented the flat out because I couldnt stand any more and 2 days later she, and all her mates moved house!

i had that problem - when i was younger and had my 1st baby i was forced to ***** foot around my own aprtment because of the old bat downstairs, I was at work and college most of the day and at 5pm would come home to have her stomping up the stairs to create a fuss becuase i had got the hoover out!!! she had a baby as well - and made twice as much noise - she thought she could intimidate me as i was young, and not overly assertive with her until one day i stood up to her and told her a few home truths. I now live in my house which is in a private drive and one house is practically unoccupied - my neighbour works away alot - the only issue is they have let their grass be overtaken by rape seed and thistles 6 feet high - and hasnt bothered in the times she has been back to sort it out - even though we offered , but the rest of the neighbours have become really good friends and we help eachother out when needed but dont live in eachothers pockets

My neighbor has two kids, they think they own my half of the yard (duplex). They busted out my front window and wouldn't take responsibility for it. But the parents did get it fixed. They're told not to play any where near my brand new car, but they still do. They just do little things, but I never catch them red handed so I can't say anything. I don't want to be accusatory, but they are the only two kids in our little neighborhood!. And the mother, she's really nice, but she's got the biggest @SS and you can hear her thumping around the house like an elephant. Drives me crazy. But I'm always afraid to wish them gone, because it could be worse. 15 mexicans grilling rat meat, 2 none running cars and six unbathed children chasing chickens could live there.

I have a neighbor who likes to trespass on my property and mess with my yard. She thought she was helping, but she ended up pulling part of our little bushes (they were just growing) because she thought they were weeds. I'm hoping she learned her lesson when I told her what she did because if she does it again I'm going to call the cops. All our other neighbors leave us alone.

And when I lived in an apartment I had these downstairs neighbors who constantly had all their friends over so it was impossible to get out of the driveway. There were at least 6, 7 cars besides the 4 the neighbors drove. It was a mess. I had to get the landlord to tell them not to do it. They still did it.

I have a family of a***holes living next to me.
I work rotating day/night shifts.
There is no chance of getting any sleep when I'm on nights due to the racket they make.
Having asked them kindly if they could keep the noise down for a few hours until I get SOME sleep , I was told " F**K OFF, It's not our problem you work nights".

Charming.

Now they make more noise than they ever did ,as they know it aggravates me.!!!!!

So, Unfortunately there is no chance of me 'loving thy neighbour '!!!!

Oh jeez I live next to the worst neighbor ever! He's just a complete @ss! My friend used to have a huge crush on him but he decided to basically call her a very large category of choice words when she told him and for that reason I will never like him. He also has a whole bunch of his friends over all of the time and they all drink and use drugs and stuff like that. Plus one of my good neighbors who are really old gave me and my family a huge pumpkin during Halloween because they grow them in their garden and then the next day it was smashed in the road and the guy who lives next door to me was bragging about how he did it the next day! I was so mad at them! But a week later they got their house TP'd and I just laughed at them because the totally deserved it! I swear one day he's going to do something to the wrong person and get slapped because of it!

I live in an apartment complex that is mostly elderly people downstairs and the younger ones with kids live upstairs. well i live above an old lady who is soooo nosy and always complains about my 4 year running and jumping. and she bangs on the ceiling. all the other old ladies gather at the end of the door and sit outside with there lawn chairs and watch everyone coming in and out. and they talk about everyone. needless to say i dont really like my neighbors

People who bully others are broken spirits. They act mean because it is the only way they know how to protect themselves. Do the opposite of what he expects. Show a little kindness. It really goes a long way. Have a wonderful week! Annie
