well bulldogs have a mucus in their throat a lot and yak it up and they happen to shed a lot.. high maintenance dogs.. to the people saking why my dog is doing that and i explained why my baby does... as far as telling me a vacumm doesnt clean up stains.. well what i mean is, like a i mentioned wet vac, you put in a solution and it helps clean those things up...kinda like SHAMPOOING your carpet...geez

Dyson is a great vaccumm its worth the money and it will work great for your pets hair b/c it has a very good suction that last unlike others. also i love the bissel brand its less expensive but i would go for the dyson since you have lots of pets and a baby

I don't sell them but I use them in my carpet cleaning business.

Call your nearest Aerus (used to be Electrolux) dealer and ask them to bring a a shampooer and vacuum over to show you. When they get to the sales part ask for a model 7000 canister vacuum and a shampooer combination. It will be expensive, (around $2,000) but they can finance it if your credit is OK. Tell the sales man this is all you will spend including the sales tax (they may try to edge you up, but they will get you what you really need for that $2,000.) Stick to your spending level.

If you can't afford that much, they have less expensive models, close-outs, and repossessed units they can sell to. But those may need to be paid for in cash or credit card.

You should be able to vacuum every day to get up the dog hair.

Do not use the vacuum on wet floors (no matter what brand you buy) it will ruin the vac, even a shop vac will break down from it sooner or later. Wait for the mess to dry and then vacuum and shampoo the stain. With this system you can use the shampooer everyday if you want it dries in a couple of hours and is non-toxic to people and most dogs (I once had a new-born eat some of the shampoo, it is only soap.)

Vacuum cleaners pick up debris, not stains.

The Dyson design, which uses cyclones instead of filters, stands head and shoulders above the rest of the pack. There are some other cyclone-design vacuums appearing now, but they're just not Dysons. So far, that is. I wouldn't bet that they can't match Dyson in five years, or perhaps as few as two years.

You need a shampoo machine to clean up the vomit. Vomit includes stomach acid, and *nothing* will undo the acid damage, so get on it immediately to minimize the damage. I keep seeing these ads for the carpet spot cleaner - is it Black and Decker - that looks like a good idea, but I haven't had reports back from any friends who've bought one.

But for dog hair, the Dyson family of cleaners seem to be A-1.

What's with all your animals "throwing up?" and your kid too? I would have that checked out and possibly keep the pets off the carpet... I have a Hoover Savvy and love it, I got it as a gift 4 yrs. ago and it's been great... It was about $200, but I think the price has gone done... I did buy the extended warranty since I have kids/dog. The serivice center is near my house as well.. Everyone says get a Dyson..if you do just get a warranty and keep up on maintance.. A vacuum doesn't last forever unless it's properly maintained... I would also suggest getting a small carpet/spot remover machine if the pets/baby projectile vomit... good luck

I spent the money and got the Dyson animal, which is good for pet hair. It is light and does well on stairs. These are really Good vacuums, just a little pricey.
