I' am independent and proud of it. I like being self sufficient and reliant. I like taking care of myself. Sometimes, I depend on family and friends during certain situations.

I prefer an independent gal, and hope she would appreciate that trait in me. But that only goes so far. If you are a couple, you are a team, and at one time or another, you will have to depend on them. Even though you and he are independent, it's good to know, that if things get rough, you can depend on your partner to help you through those times.

I am pretty much independent in a sense I know I can live by myself and take care of myself but I am still dependent on my parents for emotional support...

Both. I live with my mom or whatever and she helps me with legal/ money matters until I'm knowledgeable enough to do it myself, but other than that I'm pretty independent. I go to school & work everyday & buy most of the food I eat, so yeah.

Financially, Im dependent on my husband. Emotionally, Im dependent on tranquilizers :P
