He is my best friend. The only one who I have ever been completly comfortable around. He is also a great dad and lover. I couldnt ask for someone better.

Yes! Most certainly YES!

I spend most all my time with him. When I'm at work, we're emailing and talking on the phone. When I'm home nothing seems as good as when I'm doing it with him. He gets my sense of humor and enjoys it. When something gross happens to me he is the only person I'm never embarrassed to tell it to. He is there when I cry. He is there to hold me and warm me in the winter or simply when I've turned the a/c too low and don't want to get up. He takes the burdens of life off my hands from time to time. More times than not. He buys my clothes and forces me to shop. I hate to shop but what are best friends for? He tells me how wonderful and appreciated I am and he is always there just like a friend should be. Most importantly he is the flesh and blood God chose to embody so that I may know HIM in the here and now.

Seriously, why do people even bother to pretend that such a thing is a good thing?

Do they sit around affectionately caressing their buddies? It's something else, not friendship. You can be intimate, enjoy one another's company, enjoy going out and doing things together, but the day they turn into your "friend", I feel really sorry for you.

Well, we aren't married yet, but I definitely consider him my best friend. It wasn't always perfect between us. It took us alot of time and effort and we barely made it a few times. Now, we tell eachother everything. Odd as it may sound, even when he's the one to hurt my feelings, he's still the one I run to for comfort.

YES,and thats the way it should be,and yes I am his best friend.
BFF (best friends forever) LOL
Females even though you consider them your "friends" more often than not are in some way harming the marriage,it is hard to maintain a frienship with a single female or a UNhappily married one.

Marriage is all about FRIENDSHIP. Every thing else comes secondary. With out a deep connection that is beyond the Physical. No Marriage will last!

I wish it were true, but sadly, no. If I tell him something personal that he can use against me in an argument, he will. He won't share such things with me because he would be revealing a flaw. He always wants to be one-up.

Yes, my husband is my best friend.I say this because it is true.We are best friends. Not like a lot of other married couples whom say they are friends because that is what they are expected to say.He was my best friend long before he was my boyfriend or husband.

No... but 2nd. My sister & I have always been close. He & I have been together 7 years. Just like him... He has been friends with someone for over 25 years... through thick & thin. You can't mess with that.
