I was and it was with applesauce. I never liked it and it literally makes me sick. My mother didn't care and whenever she made it she would make sure I would eat it. However when I was 8 I on purposely dumped the applesauce on my plate and into the garbage. My mother's face turned beet red. She then dragged me by the arm back to the chair and took a spoon right into the jar of applesauce. She squeezed my cheeks into the "o" shape and forced the spoon in. I vomited it back up and it got all over the table. She never tried this movie again.. ugh bad memories.

Anyone else have similar stories?

Hmm, yes, all the time. But, the worst one was my mom's "veggie shake". It was absolutely disgusting. And we couldn't have anything else until we finished it. She didn't just do this to gross us out though--it was a serious part of her diet.

That is borderline abusive!!! I make my kids take a "no thank you" bite to make sure that they absolutely do not like what I've made, but if they really can't stand it, then NO, I wouldn't do that!

I was made to eat liver, and I, to this day, cannnnnottttt stand liver! The taste or the texture. I did throw up on the floor, when I was about 6 years old, when my parents told me I HAD to eat it. I wasn't made to eat it anymore after that.

I spilled a pitcher of Kool-Aid on a loaf of bead and had to eat the wet bread. To this day I won't touch an open-face sandwich, sloppy joes, or any bread that has gotten damp.

Pea Soup. My Dad used to make a big pot of it and I'd smell it coming up the path on my way from school. I always hated peas and my parents wouldn't force me, but as soon as they went to work, my sister used to sit a bowl in front of me and not let me move until I'd eaten it !

Coleslaw....blech! My mom tried to make me eat it once and I did just the same as you threw up on her.

My husband did the same with chicken noodle soup. His dad made him eat it after his mom told his dad he hates it don't make him eat it. She was out and thats what he fixed and Joel wouldn't eat it. He made him eat it and after dinner talked to him about it. (He was like 6) He was in his dad's lap and threw up all over him! LOL to this day we still tell that story and Joel's mom has no pitty for his dad because she warned him!
