Me.

Thomas Jefferson concluded that America would enter a civil war, and would have a bigger government. He concluded these things by mere reasoning. He believed it was in our karma, and our sin in slavery.

But he also believed that political theory would save America, and he struggled for years to come-up with a means to preserve the republic and it's virtues....but all he came-up with was loose theories.

I suppose I'm starting where he's ended. I love America, and more importantly I love mankind. I understand our imperfections, but I think by resolving to change the paradigm of action and debate, we can resolve to change the world...for the better.

As delusional as it is, I hope I evenually can leave a mark or spark for that change. By ideas...as Jefferson wished it would be. Whether that's true or not, time will tell.

The mind is more patriotic than anything: think and resolve!

If by patriotism you mean taking a position to continue the family stranglehold on world oil, then of course he is. Daddy didn't finish the job, so JNR continues the family cause. History is going to reveal a despotic ruler who is being controlled behind the scenes to gain global power. Patriotism means placing a nations interests above your own...can you seriously say that he is doing this? He bypasses congress when it suits him to do so, and continually states that he is above the law and that he will continue to govern laws that aren't even passed by congress - in other words - he does what he wants. If Hilter was a patriot, then yes, so to is Mr Bush.

Benedict Arnold was more patriotic than Bush, as is practically everyone else. Bush is a compulsive liar who knows how to manipulate the patriotic emotions of gullible people. He's laughing all the way to the bank.

Yes . Anyone who believes in the true meaning of The Constitution. Of which there are many. Doofus, liar, dictator, decider, bully Bush clearly does not.
How can you be so friggin' blind? He doesn't care about this country. Just cares about filling up his bank account with millions, with blood money, for his return to the private sector. Wake up already!

Michael Moore!

At least he has two brain cells to rub together.

Touting your own patriotism is a sure sign that you are not one.

A patriot doesn't ruin his own country for selfish reasons.

September song has it right.
You can get away with murder, mayhem, treason, stupidity, and any other sin, when you parade it out as "patriotism."
King George and Uncle Cheney ought to be impeached!
"The Emperor has no clothes!"

Doesn't it really depend how you define patriotism? If you define it as the status quo, then I guess you could have a point. That just seems to be a silly way to look at the world to me though.

Ha ha! "Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel." Stated by Samuel Johnson in 1775, and never more true than now!
