Hello.

I am a faithful catholic.

I do not understand why gays are constantly discriminated against in the church. If 2 people truely love each other why is it considered unacceptable for them to be denied marriage, the adoption of children etc?

Many republicans have called gays a threat to the American family. I do not understand this. Most gays I know are not attacking American families and forcing them to watch gay pornography.... lol.

Isn't the real threat to the American family things such as divorces television etc?

I find it strange that republicans act so family focused yet republican states have divorce rates 3 times higher than liberal states!!

I understand that many of you conservatives consider homosexuality immoral, but all of my gay friends say that if they had a choice they would be straight, but that is just how they are.

P.S. - I'm not gay, but believe that everyone should have the right to be happily married... man or woman.

Thanks.

Amen brother. A conservative friend says that allowing gays to marry would cheapen marriage as an institution, it's been that way for thousands of years, and if we did this, then we would have to allow polygamy, beastiality. Of course all of this is horse poopy and discrimination. A gay person should be allowed all of the rights as everyone else, including a fair and speedy trial.

Destiny: Gell? No such factor. Homophobia happens in lots of individuals, and a traditional factor among all homophobes is Assholery, virtually the identical factor happens in, Racists, Killers, Jackwads, Fart-heads, Theifs, (such a lot however a slowly declining quantity of) Christians, and Cats. Not everybody that endure from Assholery are homophobic, and there are even (closeted&outed) Gays. Oh and alot of homophobes are within the closet, and are afraid that if they aren't homophobic individuals will discover they're homosexual.

Gays are seen as a threat to the american family in the republicans eyes because by nature, a true republican is afraid of change. They believe that a family outline is a mother a father, son daughter. It has been force fed into peoples minds as the framework of a happy family... look at the cosbys, the Bradys, the cleavers even. America is traditionally becoming a land of profits, greed, and materialism. When a republican considers gays as otherwise then they lose votes, they lose campaign money, they lose everything... and the same goes for any issue in which change is rendered--slavery, womens rights, ---Think about it... Why do people find the thought of a woman president threatening to society--- its change-- and women traditional dont belong in power... its all the same really...

It's because they hate gays and instead of coming out and saying "I HATE GAYS", they hide behind these phony arguments like them being threats to the family or immoral.

Just like when people used discriminate against black people. In reality they just hated black people because they were different, but publicly they would say things like "blacks aren't as intelligent", "blacks are lesser people", "God prefers the white race".

Only uneducated ignorant people have issues with gays. These are the same people who tease the mentally retarded and support morons like Bush and Cheney(most are so uniformed they don't even know Cheney's daughter is gay).

The gay opponents are losing the fight. Gays marriage will be legal very soon.

I don't get it either. Gay marriage is abhorred by the Pubs, yet amongst their own supporters particularly the Christian evangelicals, the divorce rate is higher than that of "secular" people. the only reason I even knew that was because I actually heard a preacher lamenting about it on a radio station in GA last year.

What I don't understand is why the Log Cabin Republicans still support the Republican Party, when the Cons are so discriminatory against gays.

As you state above, with almost 50% of all hetero marriages ending in divorce, it is ridiculous to assert that gay marriages attack the sanctity of matrimony.

Homosexuality is an aberration. It is not normal. Homos are doing everything they can to try to appear mainstream. Marriage is a sacrament and a civil union. It has always been between a man and a woman. There is no reason to change that.
I think the extremely vocal minority should go back into their closets and quit trying to force people to accept their unnatural behavior.

I am not repub - in fact I think their beliefs are dangerous to civil liberties.

But gays are an embarrasment to the human race. Their behaviour should be discouraged in society and the family structure because it is not natural. That behavior should not be promoted in any way.

The phrase "If two people truly love one another" can be used to justify some really sick and twisted stuff. Are you sure you want to open that Pandora's Box?

Gays are no threat. We have no problem with them.

The gay agenda, forced into the schools and spoon fed by every conceivable form of media, is another matter.
