Being just ok at everything
makes you experience what life could offer you

Being great at one thing
makes you express what you could offer to life

Make your pick based on that

I would rather be ok at everything and enjoy life. The greatest gift that all humans have is LIFE. If I can add quality to other's lives by being able to contribute something wonderful to theirs, then I am both satisfied and happy. Remember this, What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah - Psalm 68:19. Know this, when you enter a place where other people are, say quietly - Peace Be To This House. Luke 10:5. The folk won't know why they are peaceful but you will. Peace and God Bless.

If you are great at one thing but really lousy at everything else... what does that accomplish other than to narrow your life down to that one thing.

I'd rather be OK at everything. At least then you can be "OK" with yourself, and not beating yourself up with all the other stuff you fail at.

I'll stick with being ok at everything. At least I'd know I was reasonably competent in more than one field of endeavor or study (ok, maybe that doesn't include relating to reality sometimes, but it's my reality and I'll keep it).

I would rather be OK at everything because it gives that 'an all rounded' personality.

Great At everything...
I know, it's not one of the possible answers, it's outside the box, not inside the box, but my philosophy is "What box?"
In general you don't want to be a specialist.
Hope someone caught that one!

U cant be great at one thing if u are not ok at everything.Cause every topic is relevant to other topics.
If u examine u will see that people who are famous at one topic is good at other topics too.Like einstein was good at maths and music even he is a physics or newton the same or johann sebastian bach was good at maths or vivaldi was good at colours(drawing) or goran bregovic is good at politics.Or mike tyson was good at sex and body building or arnold sch........ was good at human relationships.

Only people who can see world in lots of angles(good at everything) can be great at one topic.

Suppose it's for the person to decide for themselves but I'd be good at one thing to fully enjoy and experience all the levels that one thing can offer.....but have you ever thought of being great at a lot of things that's even better....I know. :)

I wouldn't mind being great at one thing, because I'd likely still be competant in most everything else.
