Paso Fino's have a certian "gait" that is smooth and allows the rider to sit very comfortably. However, they do require alot of "collection" when it comes to keeping them in this gait...that is leg and rein pressure. So...I would suggest that you find a Paso Fino stable in your area and go take a couple of riding lessons to learn the feel of the horses and the "in's and out's" of getting them to perform. Also, if you are going to a place where people have beginner riders riding thier horses all the time, it will most likely be easier for you to learn on one than to simply show up to the ride with some knowledge that you tried to learn from a book. Good luck and have fun.

Best way to learn to ride any breed of horse, is to just take riding lesson. Look up a stable in your yellow pages.. Have fun and good luck

I learned to "ride" aka: stay on at the age of 2

in my teens I stayed on bareback (feel the horse, Luke)

in my thirties I became a Horsewoman, trained Arabians, (and other breeds) and THEY TAUGHT ME: Feel the Horse.

Ride bareback with a halter, feel. Become the horse.

I want to go too, please? Brio!!!!

I'm so jealous. Can I come with you? I don't think you have to be able to ride to sit on one of those, they just carry you. Envy, envy...
