My cousin is only 16 yrs. old & she put her MySpace username as, "I'm the reason to hate & why your man comes home late."

If you think about it really deeply, she REALLY thinks she's grown, and that username sounds like it's inviting predators to take advantage of her.

I'm no expert but I have to wonder if these kids were given free reign to do what they want all their lives. They haven't had any boundaries imposed on them from a young age. They think they know what the world is all about but they fall short in seeing the big picture that doesn't completely revolve around them.

When teens do stuff like this and act this way all it does is SHOW their age and immaturity. Its the nature of the beast, they think they are grown up but adults KNOW they aren't. Its the beauty of being an adult, you remember how you used to be.

I think partially it is normal teenage testing the waters of society stuff and partially their parents let them do whatever the hell they wanted all the time....

It sincerely is an open invitation for on line predators, especially since she is only 16, and, no offense, the name makes her sound like a slut. A lot of 16 year olds do think they are grown, don't ask me why, but it is an area of concern that she is using this name, because all guys are the same, and a lot of them are nuts, please talk to her or tell her parents or something, before something serious happens

Your question should be:"What is wrong with the adult that allows a 16 year old to post that mess on myspace from a computer that is located in a house that she has not paid for?" Someone around her is allowing her to think that she is grown. At 16, she still should not have anything on any website that is not approved by her parent or guardian. It is not the kids that are failing us; we as adults are failing them.

Nothing that time and experience won't correct. I know I felt that way at 16, and now at 26 I know that I didn't know anything. Wait until she hits the workforce, nothing like a couple years working at a menial entry level job to knock some perspective (and motivation to better themselves) into a person.

Or she just may be a promiscuous hoochy who will always get by by leeching off some poor idiot.

Maybe if parents didn't work 12 hour days and spend more than 15 mintues with their kids the world would be a better place.

You choose TV & the internet as a baby sitter, this is the result people.

Unfortunately, that's what always gets them in trouble. When they think they're an adult now just because they are 16. It will take a few years for her to realize she wasn't grown at 16 after all. Hopefully, between now and then, she is smart enough to not get into too much trouble.

Yup! And her parents need to know what she is doing. Has she never seen the Prime Time To Catch a Predator show?
She is asking for trouble and she could get hurt. Plus it also makes her sound like she is easy.

Kids do that for attention. I'm still a teenager, but a legal one, and I see all of my younger friends saying things like that. I think it is sick and that there should be some way to block kids from saying that kind of stuff on myspace and other websites.
=)

That's why 'my space' is so popular where I work. Where do I work you may ask? I work along side Kansas Dept. of Corrections. I am a secretary with therapists that give therapy to parolees. These parolees got busted for such crimes as internet porn aka 'my space' on little kids aka 16 yoa!! She IS inviting them!! If someone (let me guess...MOM or DAD!!!) doesn't stop her - she will become a victim!! How sad to find these things out when it will be too late!!!!!!!!!!!!

do you not remember what it was like to be that age??? and nowadays kids think its the best thing in the world to "play grownup"..but if they really had to walk a mile in our shoes..they wouldnt last two seconds!!!>> i was being sarcastic...it wasnt that long ago I was 16 ...so I remember what it meant to be "grown up" shoot even at 19 when I was starting to pay my own bills and such ..i didn't know anything... the part of "& why your man comes home late" makes this girl sound like "the other woman"..She has no respect for herself it sounds like.....
