Without a doctor's exam, you can't know for sure if your hymen has been torn or not, since many don't have enough nerves in their hymen to feel it tearing or enough blood vessels for it to bleed noticeably if torn.
But having an intact hymen doesn't have mean your are or aren't a virgin, since you can have intercourse without penetration far enough to tear your hymen, or you can put some other object in your vagina that tears your hymen.
Strictly speaking, it's only having a penis in your vagina that means you're no longer a virgin, and you would know that, wouldn't you?

If a girl has has had a man put his penis inside of her, even barely in, she is no longer a virgin, it doesn't make a difference if her hymen breaks or not, some may not break right away because they streach. So for a girl who has had sex she is a not a virgin and one who hasn't is still a virgin, no dr appointment is needed. They may not be able to tell at the dr anyway because some girls hymens are broken other ways like by using tampons.

I might be making a bold assumption here that you already know you are a virgin until Mr Dick and Ms Vagina get together to play (a.k.a. sexual intercourse). I also assume you are either: 1) young enough that you probably are not yet sexually active, or 2) you recently regained consciousness after attending some sort of wild-and-crazy event of some variety.
So that leaves me with this conclusion: you are not sure if someone had sex with you when you were younger and/or while you were unconscious. So you want to know how to tell.
Short answer: you can't.
There is no reliable test that tells you if Ms Vagina has EVER had Mr Dick in to play. And there is no reliable test that can tell you that Ms Vagina has NEVER had Mr Dick in to play.

going to a doctor is silly. they could see if your hymen (a piece of flesh around the entrance to the vagina) is broken, but that doesn't actually prove anything. in a lot of cultures it is important for a bride to be a virgin, and they will take her to a doctor before she gets married to to be sure that she is a virgin. the problem is that the hymen can sometimes stretch or tear from physical activity or from tampon use, not just from sexual intercourse. having a broken hymen does not mean that you aren't a virgin.
you know that you are a virgin if you have not had sex. he problem is that different people have different opinions of what counts as sex. people disagree over whether you can have oral sex and anal sex and still be considered a virgin since the vagina is not penetrated. the common opinion is that you lose your virginity when you have sexual intercourse - penetration of the vagina by a penis. but if you have had only oral sex you may not be sure whether to call yourself a virgin or not.

You are/they are a virgin if they have never had sex.
The hymen is the thin membrane that sometimes covers the opening to the vagina if you're a virgin. I say "sometimes" because, even if you haven't had sex, the hymen can do a bit of a disappearing act due to an overzealous workout at the gym, horseback riding, tampons, and even passionate "heavy petting" with your boyfriend. (It's not an impenetrable barrier, anyway, as it has holes to allow menstrual blood to escape.)

Many people are under the impression that the hymen is located within the vagina. It is not. It’s a mucous membrane that is part of the vulva, the external genital organs. It’s located outside the vagina. The hymen is a layer of tissue, just like the tissue around the opening of your vagina that partially conceals the vaginal orifice. You may or may not have one, most females do. The hymen is not an indicator of virginity; a girl is a virgin until she has been penetrated by a penis.

Girls are born as virgins as long as they've never had any sexual activities. So, don't worry about it that much.

having a hymen does not make a bit of difference. A GIRL IS A VIRGIN IF SHE HAS NEVER HAD SEX! Hymens are just a nuisance anyway.
