I was/am having this same problem.

Play the chord string by string so you know where your trouble spots are and adjust your fingers. This can put your fretting hand in an awfully awkward position.
Believe it or not, after a few weeks of regular playing, the callouses on your fingertips will toughen up and the pads of your fingertips won't spread out as much when you're fingering, so that'll help, too.
Good luck!

First, fret the chord but do not strum it. Instead, play each note individually, if all you cal hear all the notes clear then bingo, you got it. If a string or two sound muted then you need to adjust those fingers

The only thing you can do is practice to improve your finger coordination and work at building up your finger strength.
there is a exerciser you can buy at your local music store
that is hand held and designed to improve both your coordination and individual finger strength at the same time
