Because married men are safe to begin with. Then they become attractive because they are not available. Before long the woman is obsessed and tries to seduce him. In the end broken heart for the other woman or broken home for the wife. Happens all the time.

Although I would never date a married man, I have to believe that single women fall for married men because there is no commitment involved with dating a married man.

Probably becasue they know that these men are able to commit to a life long relatiosnhip. They are most likely attraxted by the type of man who will be there for them night and day and who are interested in having a "family" lifestlye.
In the dating scene, it's always a crap shoot (pardon the wording there) if the guy they like is really marriage material. When admiring a married man, that is not a question.
I do have to say that a woman should truly think twice before tangling up with a married man. Don't fall for the line that he's just unhappy and his wife isn't nice, or understanding, or whatever. Understand, instead, that this particular mans idea of dealing with unhappiness is "replacement"...If he replaces her or supplements her because she isn't this or that, or he isn't happy....he will do it to you too! Once a cheater, always a cheater...or at least that's how the world will look at it.

I think they fall for married men for two reasons.
1. Is the old childish thing. They only want a toy someone esle is already playing with.
2. They see what the wife has and think they will get it.If they sleep with the womans hubby.

because they see what a good family man they are & when they see a single man they don't know if he's a good family man or not. Another reason could be that most married men have better paying jobs because they have a family to support.

You know, I hear that all the time, but in all my 21 years of marriage I have never had any woman other than my wife tell me that she is in love with me. I think I give off strong, "I'm married" vibes. I do not lie to women that I am unhappy in my marriage, that my wife won't have sex with me, that we never spend any time together, that she ignores me, etc. In other words, I don't make up sob stories to try to get sympathy to get into women's pants. In my marriage, I have learned that if there's something about my wife with which I am unhappy to address it with my wife and work it out. I don't go to other women to try to get anything I feel like I may be "missing" in my marriage. I think single women sense that about me.

probably the same reason single men can fall for married women. Neither have respect for themselves or their partners. Like peas in a pod.

I once heard it explained by a psychology student.... single women want a man who will commit, and shows his level of being able to commit. Married men do that, however, it is counterproductive to see that because the man is married, and not to the single woman.

The man clearly has prove to be valuable as a husband already.
Being a married shows that man to be stable.
The may appear financially better off (remember he has his wife's income too to build up appearances).
Married men are more confident because they already have someone.
Do you need more reasons?
