I am not a Red Sox fan but I would love to see Lester win the game tonight because of all he has gone through. However, the Indians will do everything they can to beat the living daylights out of him, and as unrelenting as baseball is, it is going to be difficult for Lester to win this one on the road. I would bet most fans, of every team, will be pulling for him to do well.

The oddsmakers have Cleveland as a (slight) favorite tonight. The Indians have the best home record in baseball while the Red Sox have one of the best road records. Cleveland has been playing well as of late and the Sox offense has started showing signs of life again in their last 3 games, (29 runs scored).
I imagine Lester will be on a short leash, (and/or a low pitch count), and might not even factor in the decision tonight. I just hope he pitches well and it will be great seeing him on the mound again.
I'll say Sox win 6-4...

Well I think this match-up greatly favors Lester....even though he hasn't been doing great for the Paw Sox I have a feeling he is going to get the win tonight. It may not be pretty but I think he will get the W.

Red Sox will win tonight. He's pitching against Westbrook who has been 1-5 this year with a 6.07 ERA. The matchup favors Lester and the Sox

I think the Sox will be pumped for return of Lester tonight. I am hoping their hot hitting continues. I think they may beat the Indians tonight. Other than my Sox, the Indians are among some of the few teams that I root for (Tigers and Cubs) this year. I miss our dirt dog Trot Nixon, so it's always hard to root against him. I enjoy watching these types of series.

This is a good question. I think he will be rusty, but the Soxs will beat them with there bats. It will be a big offensive night. If not, lets hope for the defense to show up. I just hope they win. We need to keep winning, so we can win the division. He we let the second half of the year get the best of us, we will be looking up at the Yankee's again. I also don't want to have to visit the house of pain in the playoffs.

Some cancer treatments can make you extremely tired. If Lester and his docs think he is doing well enough to play that is encouraging. Alas, the Red Sox (with or without Lester) always seem to screw up the season somehow. But they ARE the home team so I root! root! root! for them fiercely anyway. Die hard fan. CarolSandyToes

I would probably go with the Indians. This is Lester's first start against a major league team in a while, and it's against the indians, who have a very potent offense.

He might be a little shaky. Also, he is a potential pitcher. He has never been a dominant pitcher in the majors. On top of that the tribe is really good this year. He will be exposed early. The tribe will win.
