Alot of kids are worried about Middle school. It really isn't to bad. As long as you have all your school supplies (and a smile) you'll be fine. Though....I might suggest avoiding the food if you can.

Avoid getting into trouble. Do not get into trouble. Be close with the principal and teachers. Avoid people that say that they are cool because the truth is they are people that have no confidence and put others down to feel good. Avoid being bullied or bullieing someone. Do not spread rumors the whole school will hate you. Do not be late to class some teachers do not let you in after the late bell rings. If you are late have a late pass with you that way teachers know you were not late on purpose. Do not leave the class without a hall pass. Do not bother teachers. Do not give in late homework. Join any clubs the school has. Do not believe you are popular there is no such thing as that. Do not give up middle school is hard but never give up. Do not put anyone down. Do not fight. Do not be late to school. Do not have a bitchy, or sluty behavior. Do not get to involved with friends. Do what you think is right.Partcipate and have fun with it.

There isn't really anything to "avoid."

I'm sure you're feeling anxious about all the things you could possibly do wrong. You shouldn't worry though. Once you get there and spend a few days figuring things out, you'll wonder why you were so nervous about it in the first place.

If you can, go have a tour of your school. Find out where you locker is and where your classes are. Also find out where the cafeteria is. Most schools will let you come in and walk around.

Then when the big day comes, just feel confident that everything is going to be ok and be yourself.

Good luck!

Avoid the negative influences like drugs and alcohol. Stay away from bullies. Find some good friends and hold on tight.

What to embrace is school itself. Pay attention in school. Do your homework. Get involved in your school. Sports and such. The more you do the better. I never did that and it was hard for me to learn how to do many things at once which is called multitasking. It's one of the most important elements you can learn in life.

Don't worry about school. Don't worry about being "cool". You spend tons of time worrying about who thinks your cool and who thinks your not. You waste so much time that can be used having lots of fun and enjoying being young and carefree.

Drugs. lol just kidding. well actually do avoid drugs. Also dont try going out with people too soon. Obviously focus on school work, but making friends to keep in high school is very important. Im going into high school, and what i am being told is high school is about doing well in EVERYTHING to get into a good college. What i focused on in middle school is making good friends to have in high school. Hope i helped!

Good Luck and God Bless

That means 6th through 9th grade in my state. You should know that this is a time when you and your peers (other students) are growing up physically. Sometimes that means moody behavior. If you keep that in mind, you'll be able to take most people's behaviors with a grain of salt if they should have an off day.
What you should avoid is:

- associating with students who are not interested in learning.
-girls who are "boy crazy" meaning that is ALL they are interested in period.
-cliques or people who are not friendly to others or are mean in general.
-falling behind in your studies.
-being late to school or accessively absent.
-drugs and alcohol if you are offered.
-gang affiliation or wannabees.

You are growing up. Remember that most high schools look very hard at your middle school transcripts; especially the 7th grade year.
Enjoy your new learning experience. You are ready!

Avoid choosing your friends group (click) until you see about what each click is about. Getting 'in' with a crowd and then wishing you were with another crowd is hard, cos peeps do not like you to abandon them. So, stay away from deciding which click to join until about a month or so in to the school year.
