i had a ultra sound done then a MRI the ENT said its just a swollen lymph node and to watch it, if it increases in size to come back. he said it dosent look cancerous or anything it looks normal. what im thinking is its been 8 months thats a long time to have a swollen lymph node. can MRI show you the same result as a biopsy? i figured i would have to get one done. can you have a swollen lymph node for 8 months and it be nothing? should i get a second opinion

I would definately get a second opinion. Lymph nodes are part of your body's immune system, something is causing it to swell.

Biopsy would be best , some cancer Like Melanoma can spread to the lymph nodes and cause cancer there also. particulary under your arms and in your groin lymph nodes I'd get a second opinion. but some people do just have large lymph nodes that appear swollen. save your sanity go to another Dr.

Absoultely get a second opinion. Lymph nodes do not stay swollen for a long period of time for no reason. It may not be cancer but something (bacteria, virus) is making them swollen.
