White vinegar (like cider) and some warm watter mix will do the trick! Sometimes cleaners will build up over time on a reflective surface like that, just making it more and more streaky. Mix up some 50/50 warm water and vinegar in a bucket and rag it down. That will get all that junk off.

Put some rubbing alcohol on a rag and rub it off. It will probably take a while but it will work. Just put on a lot of rubbing alcohol on the rag hold the rag in one spot for a few seconds then vigorously rub it. You might have to do it a couple times depending on how bad the film covering is. Then just wash off the rubbing alcohol with windex or some other glass cleaner.
(nailpolish remover with acetone also works)

Vinegar or lemon juice mixed with a little water will break up the film, but to remove it you need to get a window squeegee (the kind they have at gas stations to clean windshields). By using the rubber squeegee to wipe off the glass, you wipe off cleanly all film and water on the glass, and it will be clean. Be sure to wipe the rubber squeegee after each wipe to remove film and dust before your next pass.

Did you use a car window cleaner, or Armor all?
That gets grease out when I can't use normal things, my hubbie has tons of armor all, though, that worked on my mirrors.....
