We absolutely wanted to know the sex because we have a 5 year old son and are pregnant with #2 and we (and EVERYONE else!!) want to have a girl, so we had to find out! My ultra sound was scheduled so far away and we almost couldnt wait, a friend of ours who works at a hospital just suggested that we go into the emergency room and say that I slipped and fell on my butt and that we just wanted to make sure the baby was okay. This way they would do an ultrasound and we could ask if they could tell the sex. She actually did this herself but we never got up the nerve to do it. So we waited and found out that we ARE having a little girl! Theres nothing wrong with knowing. Everyone has their own reasons, and moms always have their opions now thats going to take some getting used to! Good luck!

I am TTC #1 also I have had one miscarriage but wasn't far enough along to know the sex, however, when I do get pregnant I want to know. Mostly for the same reasons as you I want time to think of a name, also I want to be able to buy things for my baby already like decorate his or her room with certain colors you know? Also have a baby shower in all pink or all blue I just feel you can miss out on alot if you don't choose to find out then again the surprise of it would be amazing but I couldn't wait that long personally lol
I hope you conceive real soon, and bring a healthy baby into this world!

My aunt has three kids and she found out the gender before, too. that way you can buy things in the color you want and you don't end up with a room full of cute girl stuff and then have a boy or vice versa Also if you plan on having a baby shower then it is nice to know so you can pass out cookies or something with It's A GIRL/BOY Just because your mother didn't have the technology to find out her babies gender doesn't mean you shouldn't that is like saying I didn't have running water growing up so why should you.

i'm style of disillusioned to work out this guy being observed as "she". he's a "he" and has the regulation in the back of him to decrease back that up. What he exchange into born as is irrellevent. Gender Dysphoria is a scientific situation. Argue all you go with yet that may no longer a decision. He might have had a non existence, been depressing, if no longer suicidal if he had no longer won therapy to have the skill to stay because of the fact the male he incredibly is. He occurs to have a womb and so on. super deal. i'm a guy like him and so do I. If that have been my in simple terms risk of having young ones because of the fact IF like him I had a much better half who exchange into no longer able to have infants - then i might ought to critically evaluate doing that. I asked distinctive (genetically born) male acquaintances in the present day and that they pronounced in the event that they could have taken the discomfort and discomfort faraway from their better halves the countless time and experienced the miracle of giving start - then all of them pronounced they might. Who wouldnt? And what youngster is going to make exciting of yet another youngster asserting "Your dad gave start!" - i'm valuable what that they had incredibly be asserting is "Cool!" comedian Ben Elton pronounced he couldnt understand why women absolutely everyone seems to be sectretive and euphemistic or maybe tragic sounding approximately having sessions. He pronounced if men had sessions it would all be different. we would be completely bragging approximately it!! we would shout it down the pub. Sanitary classified ads may be on your face, and it would be something to totally teach off approximately. If greater men gave start then the effect may be a similar. start might exchange into macho! LOL

When I was pregnant, I wanted to know the sex but my babys legs were together in the scan so it had to be a surprise. I was really happy in the end, I was convinced she was a boy and I was soooo happy to give birth to a daughter. An amazing surprise. I'm hoping to become pregnant after new year and this time I'd like to try find out the sex first again, just to experience both.

I did and I do! We're having a boy and the reasons are pretty much the same as yours, to plan and buy things for a certain gender, not for both. Also, it's not like you don't have to wait! Most couples have to wait until at least the 18th to 21st week to find out and that's a long time already!

I don't care if other people find out theirs, it's their own preference. For my first one though, I kept it a surprise. It just seems like there's no surprise if you find out early, cuz then everyone knows, and then you choose a name and everyone ends up knowing that too before the baby is born. I liked also having neutral baby basics, so I will have them for if I have more kids in the future, whether they be boys or girls.

Yes I had to know the gender of my baby before he was born for the same reasons. It seemed more common for the earlier generation NOT to know, and just be surprised.

I am impatient so I had to find out. I also am glad I did find out with my son because I had a girl's name picked out, but not a boy's name and it took us several weeks to agree on one. When I was pregnant last year I didn't find out because the baby wouldn't open the legs. I ended up having my baby at 21 weeks and we didn't know the sex so we had to come up with a boys name really fast just in case so he/she could be baptized. We ended up having a girl that was with us for only 20 minutes.
