I liked the ending, but I thought we should have seen Harry and Ginny's reunion, and more of Ron and Hermione's relationship. The epilogue could maybe have had a bit more detail too - for example Harry was made Teddy's godfather, but who actually raised Teddy? Harry was only 17 when Lupin and Tonks died, and the epilogue only states that Teddy was a frequent visitor to Harry and Ginny's home.

On the whole though I enjoyed the book very much and was satisfied with the way it panned out. I'm glad Harry wasn't killed. The death I was most saddened by was probably Fred's. I love the Weasley twins and it didn't seem right to break them up like that. But at least he died with a smile on his face. I was upset by Dobby's death too, and Snapes - another favourite character - but I knew that one had to happen. As much as Snape loved Lily and tried to protect harry, he was never going to get over his hatred of him. There would never have been a moment of reconciliation, so it was better to have Snape killed off, but with his real character revealed.

The only thing I didn't quite understand was why Harry became master of the elder wand because he took Malfoys wand, when it was not the elder wand that he took, just Malfoy's own wand.

I really liked the book and how JKR handled the ending. I did wonder how Gryffindor got the sword back from the Goblins though. Maybe I missed something there?

I loved that she did an epilogue, however I felt that it was either an afterthought or just rushed. You, of course, see what happens with Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny...well she doesn't mention what kind of work they ended up doing...and she mentions Neville has become the Herbology professor and she shows that Draco has married and has a child, but do we just assume all of the other professors retired or died within those 19 years? McGonagall and Hagrid were both major characters and there was no wrap up for them. Does George go ahead and open the joke shop without Fred? Luna became quite an important character in the last couple of books, what becomes of her? Did anyone else think something might develop between her and Dean? Did Harry keep in contact with the Dursleys, at least Dudley since he shows some affection for Harry in this book?

It really was a great book and I enjoyed it immensely...would have just liked a little better closure with some of the other characters that were integral to the story since this was the end.

I thought the last book was amazing.

I wish the epilogue was a little longer. I really wanted Harry to marry Luna. Even though that is weird, i never liked Ginny

I think that Lupin and Tonks death was the saddest. I mean, Teddy was just born, and then bam, he's an orphan like Harry. Except Harry is the godfather.

I think the Dursleys wanted to forget everything that happened, but how can you be expected to unless some pointed a want at you and said obliviate? I thought Dudley wasn't really a bad person at heart, at least he showed gratitude to Harry for saving him from the dementors.

I thought the Snape-turns-out-to-be-good was heartbreaking. Who knew he loved Lily? I just feel so sorry for him that he had to see a reminder of Lily not loving him back almost everyday for the last few years of his life. I mean, holding a grudge n Harry for just being his father's son is childish, but the James-and-Lily thing probably hurt him a lot.

QUESTION::: What happened to Fred and George's joke shop? Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes, I mean, with Fred gone...

I really enjoyed the book. Thought it tied up alot of the lose ends. Was really sad about the characters that died though. Had a funny feeling Snape was good but was shocked how. I wish that she had explained more about what happened in between after Voldermorts death and the last chapter. Would have been interesting to see if Snapes portrait was in the headmasters office. Who is the new headmaster?. What happened to the Malfoys?. What happened to all the Weasleys? But does this mean that there is still a book to be written. I really hope so. I was sad the story had ended in a way. All the anticipation with every book that has come out and now nothing.. All i can say though is that the books will be loved by generations of children(and adults) and what a remarkable talented lady Ms J K Rowling is. Hopefully it will create a generation of good writers, writing books that all children and adults(like myself) will love...

There was a few parts where continuity wasn't what it should have been - like a paragraph was missing or something. I thought Dudley being nice was too grown up and a bit of a red herring. I'm sure Harry would have met him again, not his parents though. I thought the book was one of her best -in the top 3. All action, no icky romantic teenage angst. A shame my favourite male character(Snape) died, but at least my fave girl, Luna, didn't. I knew Snape was on the good side, didn't see the point of making Dumbledore less heroic - I think Dumbledore is her, and she felt she should come clean and be more realistic about her own failings. Biggest disappointment ? How Draco became less and less a major player as the series progressed. His role in the last one was too minor, his magic not powerful enough.

I thought the final book was very well written and a great read. the only thing i didnt like in the ending was the final battle. to short. i mean when did harry become more powerful than voldermont. i know he had a better wand but still. i understood everything. and i liked everything but i think the final battle should have been bigger. we have been waiting on this for a long time. by far dobby was the saddest one. i think harry probley kept in touch with them. and he probley became a once a year visit newphew of them. they understood why harry was who he was so i think they probley are ok. i just wish she would have gotten more detail about what harry, ginny, ron, and herminie were doing after school. what kind of work.

I just finished it 5 minutes ago. I think it was the least good of the series, but did get exciting in the last few chapters. I was pleased to be vindicated about Snape, I just knew somehow him being a baddie was all wrong. Maybe I expected Voldemort to be harder to kill at the last. The Dursleys would have seen Harry again, and been glad to get him out of their life at last. Dudley grew up to be a slightly better person.
I think she might have made more of the effect of the various deaths on other peoples lives afterwards.

Good ending.
Understood it all.
Ending was excellent, definitely good enough.
I think Hedwig dying was saddest in a way. She really didn't have much choice in her lot in life and just got caught in the crossfire.
The Dursleys went back to their life and probably were quite happy that the insanity of looking after Harry was over.

I like the ending .

i didn't understand a few things.

the ending wasn't good enough i wish she explains what happenned to the school, who raised teddy and what's harry, ron, hermione, and ginny's jobs are. what happened to george and a lot more.

the saddest was when tonks, lupin and fred died.

i don't know what happened to dursleys but i want to know what happened to them and who did draco marry

i think there will be another book but it will be about that 19 years gap.

i was so sad that fred died, followed by tonks and lupin, then mad-eye and doby, and hedwig. neville turned out probably my favorite. I don't know what happened to the dursley's, but i was glad that dudley came around in the end. I want to know what happend to malfoy, as he started to act nicer, but they ignored him most of the rest. Harry should have stayed dead. Snape should have stayed bad. I knew harry was a horcrux though.
