Most of the answers above remind me of the movie “The Gods Must Be Crazy,” a native in the Kalahari Desert encounters technology for the first time--in the shape of a Coke bottle. I found this to be very amusing, but I also began to see parallels between his thought process, and that of the modern day Theist. Both are using CAVEMAN LOGIC to explain their world. I fail to see the difference between “hmm, bottle fall from sky, must be gods” and “hmm, trees, our existence and sunsets prove the existence of god.”
In both of these cases, someone is simply replacing one unknown for another unknown, but proving nothing!
Not only can God not be proven, but I will also go so far as to say that God can be disproved. It is impossible for something to be all knowing and all good. If you are aware that something bad is going to happen, and you allow it to happen anyway, then you cannot be all good. If God created everything, then he also created evil. It is also impossible to be all-powerful; can God create a rock that even he himself cannot move?
I would have thought that as man became more knowledgeable and logical that he would have pushed aside his caveman beliefs, but it seems to be just the opposite.

Other than personal experience, there isn't any. On the other hand there is no proof that God doesn't exist either. By logic we can establish that the monotheistic concept is so full of contradictions that it would be impossible for such a being to exist, but this is not the same as positive proof.
The hardest problem is the problem of evil. If God made everything, which Scriptures attest, then God invented evil.
This cancels any claims he has to being ethical (the ethical monotheism of Judaism). If God cannot get rid of evil, then Satan is either of equal or greater power. If of equal power, then the theology is really one of dualism (Zoroastrianism and Christianity). If of greater power, this doesn't say much for the omnipotence of God. Very intelligent and educated men have wrestled with these dilemmas, none of them successfully (under the banner of monotheism).
Even so, this does not mean that there is nothing sacred. I call the laughter of a three year old sacred. I call the principle of Beauty sacred, as well as the principle of Being.

Many Proofs exist...... all throughout our life.
Since you are questioning the very existance of your life creator within whose creation you are searching for his existance, let me give you a whole list of questions - and if you or my self (including the whole intelligentia of this world can answer at least one question, we can believe that there is no GOD :-)
1. What is this universe ? and whats the size of it ?
2. Is it infinite ? (Infinite-ness of something is only possible to GOD and science does not buy this idea) If not, what is the end of it and what is the start of it ?
Let me come down one level:
3. What is this 'Earth planet' and how is it hanging around SUN ?? (Dont give me the same answer saying - 'centripetal force; please explain what it is and where it is coming from ? if you say, it is coming from the magnetic power, what is this so called magnetic power ? and where it came from ? who created it ?
Let me come down one more level :
4. What is this concept of LIFE ? and this complex BODY and powerful brain (which makes us think that it by itself is ultimate and questions the supremacy of GOD who created this universe)
5. Science says that 'Energy' can not be destroyed or created but can only be changed of its form - so why cant we understand that there is a supreme power which created all of us and this world itself which was not existing at some point of time ?
6. Where is the LIFE coming and going out of this body ? What is this 'Energy' getting transformed to? after the death of a life ?
Till the time we can find meaning of at least these basic questions, we can not claim that there is no GOD; and its for sure that science can never define it completely because the approach of science has its own limitations and can go only to some extent. (FYI.. Science could not define the 'cancer' desease so far !! all that we know is cancer is un-desirable growth of cells - no root cause analysis and no reasoning found or known so far !!)
I wonder why cant all of us feel the Power of SUPREME POWER that touches our life (part of our lives) every second and accept it to be GOD ?? Why does this supreme power need to have the same body, shape and feel of what you have ?? Is it necessary that the power which created you also have the same characteristics that you have ? for you to accept that he is GOD ? I dont think so.
In the absence of any proof against his Existance, It can be accepted that there is a supreme power. Having accepted, if you want to know more, you need to experience it with the senses which are above your physical senses!!

Our mere existence does NOT prove anything, as evolution can be explained by science and our existence can be traced back to some scientific phenomenon like the big bang etc. In the objective world god does not exist as it is impossible to explain god using scientific numbers and theories, etc. God, like one other answer mention i think, only exists if you make him exist. You must ask yourself, is it possible to justify your existence without some kind of god? If so, then god does not exist for you. God has always been the UNKNOWN, the enigmatic, something lying beyond the reaches of science, now that science is expanding, god is being pushed back, and still is that which is unknown. However, eventually one must ask, those philosophical questions, about your existence, your justification, your ethics. However, in an objective reality, there is no proof for god...

there is actual evidence of a God that exists or existed. That evidence is us. Now look at it this way: we are right here, alive and respiration. some form of existence source had to of created our existence stress. no remember if God is a capacity in area or another being, he does exist. human beings like want to declare it became the massive bang that created each and every thing. yet how approximately this: What if the massive bang became God? gentle remember and dark remember colliding, could reason the creation of each and every thing. even with the undeniable fact that it is going previous our comprehension. existence can no longer come from some thing that doesn't comprise existence. If there became no existence, then there could be no existence. Our physique is created from capacity and that's what God is created from. this is how we are in his image. that could desire to be how he's with anybody in any respect time. as quickly as we die, our soul (capacity) can no longer die. It ought to the two pass into yet another existence (Reincarnation) or lower back to the main source. capacity ought to stay shifting as a results of fact lifeless gadgets do no longer comprise capacity.

Ah good question you ask...
Let me ask you something...
'What proof is there' that an actual Real person wrote these very words of text you are reading this very moment?
Hmm, lets see... how do you logically conclude that i (the writer of these words) am a real person communicating to you?
by simple structure, and evidence of intelligence. Yes thats right!! it requires intelligence for me to articulate the 26 letters of the Alphabet in all the right orders and patters to establish coherent words and sentences.
God is exactly the same. this world has order and structure, not chaos and mess. The human body for example is an amazing feat of engineering masterpiece! we could never match. All the result of intelligence.
Therefore God is more real than the writer of these words your reading (me), as there is so much more structure and beauty in creation than there is in what im trying to say to you.
If you are able to believe that, i... a person wrote this message to you,, then how much more should you be absolutely certain that God exists!!!

I've been thinking this through for a while, and I really find it amazing that for some it's quite easy to say, "Well, as long as there's an teeny-tiny, one-quintillionth of a chance that life might have spontaneously come into existence" (yeah, that's what's known as "spontaneous generation," a belief held by Aristotle) "then we don't actually HAVE to believe that there is a God!"
Well, go ahead. Keep saying that. Keep hoping that someday, somehow, human intelligence will be able to UNDERSTAND... let alone CREATE life. And that might mean that NON-intelligence might be able to create life! Golly, that's faith if I ever heard it! Inspirational!
Such a question amounts to the equivalent of one who, having the ability to see, would squeeze his eyes shut and yell at any passerby, "What PROOF is there that light exists?"
Save your breath, I've a better. What proof is there that God DOESN'T exist?

There isn't any and their never will be. The fact is God used to be used as an abstract idea that lead to good living and social solidarity, but now he is nothing but political propaganda. People at best today follow no more than 10% of that religion today. The only people who think of God as being something that can be proved or disproved are anthropomorphites, like many of the people who have answered this question before me. This isn't a good path to follow if you want real answers. I suggest you look into Ludwig Fueurbach. He said that the question you asked is not valid in itself because God isn't the ind of thing you can prove. It is an abstract, imaginary guide for you.
By the way, Rene Descartes said 'I think, therefore I am'. Sartre built off of that, but Descartes was the original.

The philosopher, Jean Paul Satre wrote, "I think, therefore, I am." (cogito, ergo sum)
Well, God though you up, therefore, he must be.
Now, before you argue that I have not offered you any emperical evidence, be aware that I am an Athiest. However, the argument I offer is still valid. I have no emperical evidence that YOU exist. I simply take it as an article of faith that you do. I have no more evidence of your existance than my own senses provide. The words on this monitor are no less trustworthy than if my own eyes beheld you, or my own hand touched you. All of this could be illusion, just as many argumentative Atheists claim that articles of religious faith are, also.
To paraphrase the old kindergarten put down, "I know I am, but what are you?"

If a person has any kind of conscience whatsoever...God will alert you with lots of questions concerning your existence and His existence. I believe that the souls in each of us are never satisfied until we become connected to God. We do this by accepting His son Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of our lives. I invite you to seek out Billy Graham @ www.decisionmagazine.com for more info about this important decision for Christ.
God bless!!!
