On July 31, 2004, at the MLB trading deadline, Garciaparra was traded from the Red Sox to the Chicago Cubs in a four-team deal. He also recieved the ring.

Yes he does. Every year after a team wins the world series they give out a few extra rings to somone that helped the club but wasn't on it at the end of the season. Thats what the Red Sox did for him.

yes he did get a ring and he was also paid a 1/2 share. A share is a bonus the players get if they win the WS and Is based off of gate sales. I think it amounted to $167715

Ya he did get a ring because he helped get them to the playoffs.
All the idiots got a ring.
Even that lefty who started like one game the whole season...i can't remember his name...he was their only lefty pitcher to start that year.
