I would have to say the Detroit Tigers because they have everything worked out. They have hitters like Magglio Ordonez (who leads the majors in batting average) and Ivan Rodriguez. On the other hand, they also have pitchers like Justin Verlander (who by the way pitched a no-hitter this season already if anyone doesn't know that), Kenny Rogers, and Jeremy Bonderman.

The guy that said the Royals has part of the equation right. It's either going to be the Tigers or Indians. Both of those teams play 2 series against the Royals in the final 2 weeks. Whichever team plays better against the Royals at that time wins the division. I personally think it will be Detroit.
As far as the White Sox, they'll be dead last in the division no later than the series against the Royals in late August.

THE TWINS!!!!
The Indians will finaly have some injury problems and slump, the Tigers will choke at the end, just like last year, and the Twins will make a comeback. Compared to last years 12 1/2 game deficite to come back and win the Central over the Tigers, 8 games is nothing.

The Tigers are a better road team than the Indians and will win the dicision. The Indians should win the wild card. The White Sox will be embarrassed as they finish in last place behind the Royals. The Twins will be a non-factor in the division race.

Sorry, Sox aren't going to win it. I'd like the Twins, but that won't happen. I'm going for the Tigers. Better pitching than the Indians and a really good offense. the Indians don't have enough pitching to win the division. Should be one of the best races in baseball to watch.

Indians, the people who keep talking about the Tigers pitching, the Tigers advantage there is small if any. People forget what Fausto, and CC are doing this year, and Lee isn't really doing that bad.
I think it will be close but I think the Indians will win it, if they can get wins from teams like Boston, and keep doing as well as they have been this year against the Tigers.
Indians also have one of the best home records in the MLB, and they play a stretch of home games..
