Spoiler Warning Do not read ahead if you haven't read the book: Ok I think it makes perfect sense. You have Harry as an adult, he has kids, Ron and Hermoine have kids, Malfoy has kids, Nevilles a teacher I mean she practically has it all set up for herself: Harry's kids at Hogwarts. I kinda want it to get back to the first few books when their was more emphasis on the actually school and less on Voldemort. And now that Voldemorts gone its perfect for her to do. I mean before Voldemort there was Grindlewald right? So it would make sense to just create another Dark Wizard that could grow up in the same school as Harry's kids. That could be a whole new series right there. Oh c'mon its perfect don't you agree?

Personally, I would like to see how Albus Severus Potter's life plays out. Didn't Rowling sign a seven book contract though?

I really don't want her to just pick up again right away and continue with the kids. If she does get inspired to write another book, or even a series I'd rather she continued with the existing characters. Include their kids as important characters, but to just act like this happens every generation would seriously detract from the supposed power of Voldemort and the fear he inspired. I'd prefer to see Harry, Ron and Hermione as venerated old wizards and witch helping with some crisis that does not involve a poweful dark lord. Maybe have a new Goblin war, or even a large group of Muggles discovering the Magical world and trying to wipe it out using modern technology, which few in the magical world understand or believe has any power.

I think J.K. Rowling should make a book about how wizards, or the school and stuff came to be. If you ever have read The Chronicles Of Narnia, C.S. Lewis wrote his whole series then at the end, when he thought he was finished, he wrote a book called The Magicians Nephew, which is my favorite book in The Chronicles Of Narnia, it tells how Narnia came, and how the which got into Narnia, and stuff like that, but it was a really great story, but I also think she could/should wright another series, lol, so there is my opinion.

I think she should write another book, but I think it should be to explore what the aforementioned characters are doing with their lives. It doesn't say at the end of book 7 what Harry, Hermione, Ginny, Ron, or Draco DO for a living. It doesn't say if Harry ever became an Auror, or if Hermione finally started a protection for elves or whatnot.

Yeah I hope she does because like the other viewers have said, the final book did not say what Harry,Ginny,Ron,Hermoine,Draco,Luna,Dean,Seamus, and George are doing in their life..so..that was a complete bummer that J.K did not put in her book..And second I wish she would open another series on Harry's kids and less on him. That would be more interesting..

I just read in a magazine that J.K. Rowling said that she wants to write an eighth book. She said that the prceeds would go to charity and that it would be like an encyclopedia with all the material that she didn't use in the other HP books. So i guess it's not really a sequel, but she referred to it as an eight book

Well I don't know about and 8th book that continues with Harry but maybe like a separate book about their kids at school and the adults.

No. I think that JK should write a book about the characters from the previous books and how their lives have changed. I really was dissapointed by the epilogue. I wanted to know more about how the school had changed.

I did not read ahead on your question, but so far I think she should, because there are some things that haven't been answered yet, and I would like to know what Harry is up to after he has graduated from Hogwarts.
But then again, I need to finish Half-Blood Prince and read Deathly Hollows first. ;-)

I don't think she should. These things are never as good second time round and I think it would undermine the first seven books. I like it how it is to be honest although I would by them if she wrote more.

To me it would be like remarrying after being widowed, it sounds stupid but that's sort of what it's like. It's hard to do and not everyone does it.
